― GUINEVERE RYE WAS JUST doing her best to survive. The last descendant of a planet long gone, she was all alone. She'd watched as her planet was razed by the the purple titan, Thanos and her parents sacrificed themselves to put her in the ship that would fly her out of there. She'd spent most of her life picking up scraps and perfecting her abilities. She could manipulate time and she used it to her advantage. She took up petty theft in the first place and soon, she was taking valuable items to make some money.
When the collector offered her passage to Earth, where she could start over, in exchange for something from Thanos' very own collection, she agreed. Once upon a time, she'd wanted revenge for what he'd done to her more than anything in the world but now, she had given up on ever getting back at the man. All that she wanted was to put her past behind her and to do that, she needed to do this. It was much simpler than she expected to steal from him. She simply stopped everything else around her and walked in and then left with the item.
Thanos was enragedonce he found out about what was taken from him and he sent his daughter after her. To bring the thief to him, dead or alive. But Guin was unlike anything that Nebula had ever encountered. The woman was spunky, deadly smart, braver than she could even comprehend and compassionate. Guin was the first person that Nebula had met who didn't judge her by the times that her father had done. She found a solace in the woman who was supposed to be the enemy and soon, she found herself sneaking away and stealing moments just to be around her.
Their love wasnot easy and for a long time, they were forced to hide and be secretive when all they truly wanted was to proclaim their love to the world at the top of her lungs. But eventually when Nebula came out from underneath Thanos' grip, they ran away together and built a life for the two of them. There were hard times, including the time that Nebula was stuck on the guardians' ship and when she taken on her quest to kill Thanos, Guin never stopped searching for her.
But they were reunited again when Thanos waged war on the galaxy and they stole their moments together amongst the chaos. They worked hard to stop him but in the end, they failed and half of the planet was wiped away including the love of Guinevere's life. In her grief, Guin used her powers to go back in time before everything had gone to shit and gave them another chance to win and to save Nebula but every time that they tried, it was the same outcome. Thanos winning and Guin all alone.
And after tryingin vain to stop the mad titan over and over again, Guinevere has to made a decision. To either accept the loss of her love or keep trying no matter how hard it is. But Guin can't bring herself to move on because she'd much rather love continuously and always lose that happiness than not love at all.
- ⎰ NOTES.⎱ ― This is a long complicated plot and I've forgotten a lot of what happened to Nebula through the movies. It should start with an AU of Nebula and Guin meeting and should then move to a bit of the events of Guardians Vol. 1 but she shouldn't be heavily involved. You could just show what she thinks about all of Nebula's plans. Then you could move it to all the way through Guardians 2 and then AU of when Nebula goes missing and then the rest. She doesn't have to be in every part or even most of the movies but you could just sort of explain everything that happens. The IW part of up to you. You could show the first time and then the last time when they finally succeed.
She's really differentfrom Nebula. Whereas Nebula wants revenge, Guin just wants to move on. So while Nebula declares war on Thanos, she's there for her but they do argue a lot about just moving on. You could make it start when they do get them back, they just move to Earth or something and grow old together. She's really powerful and when she changes the time, she's the only one who remembers what it was like before but every time, she changes it, something is different and she messes things up because of the ripple effect and she starts to wonder if it's all worth it. You could give it a sad ending where Guin finally lets her go and just lives or you could make them find Nebula. It's up to you.
