Lucas Mikealson

LUCAS MIKEALSON WAS A lot of different things to a lot of different people. To his sick mother, he was her sweet boy, working his ass off to pull more of the his fair share of the weight. To his little sister, he was the only other piece of family that was either dying or just gone. To the people of Queens, he was a petty thief, the shadow in the dark before you noticed that you'd just lost your wallet.

Lucas' only escape from all the expectations and responsibilities that weighed him down was his art. It was the only thing that he was good at. Art had always come easy to him even as a kid when all draw were stick figures. Now that he was older, it was the only thing that seemed to truly make him happy. Every Friday, once he'd managed to nick whatever cash that he could from distracted passengers in the street, he snuck into the art classes at the local college.

It was there that he met Liz Allan, the golden girl of Midtown High. All cheekbones and height, the girl was modelling for the art classes. Lucas had never planned to do more than sketch her but the two had struck a conversation one lonely afternoon once the rest of the class had scattered. From there, a timid relationship was born, a arrangement complimented by messy sketches, stolen kisses that left pastel dust all over the both of them and a small comfort that the two couldn't seem to find elsewhere.

Lucas Mikealson was a lot of things to a lot of people but to Liz Allan, he was the only person she felt she could truly be herself with.

- NOTES.⎱
― I actually don't know how this happened but here it is. He's an artist and she's modelling for the local college for community service hours. Outside of school, he's a pickpocket and he does this because his mother is sick. A lot of their money goes to her treatment and they don't have a lot. He has a lot of responsibilities and that's what they really have in common. Liz has a lot of expectations to be perfect and to be the golden child and to be successful and she doesn't mind it because she know you have to work hard because nothing is given to you but it does take a toll on her.
