Your eyes widened as the sheer agony of being shot exploded across your torso. Gasping, your first thought was to bend over in pain, but your muscles wouldn't reply. They were no longer yours to command. Instead your body stood straight, you arms thrown out to protect the witch, and your feet planted. Desperately, your consciousness heaved on the controls over your limbs. Nothing responded. It was then you decided you couldn't fight anymore.

Three sets of Galra eyes stared back up at you. A mixture of surprise, terror and confusion glistening in their depths. Zethrid quickly pushed Ezor behind her. Her forehead creased into a scowl as she met your gaze. Slowly, your arms dropped to your sides. The sharp clink of your claws erupting from your knuckles, was the only sound in the room. Against your will, your lips curled up into a devilish grin.

"It appears Nadia has three new trophies for her display case." Haggar's harsh voice threatened from somewhere behind you. As if summoned by the mention of her name, the female materialised from the shadows to your left. The sound of rubber boots squeaking with every soft click of their heels on the tiles. Her twisted smirk of triumph didn't go unnoticed as she gave you the one over before turning her attention to the three generals. A hunter closing in on its unsuspecting victims.

Run...

The words wouldn't leave your lips. Shoved back by the invisible hand controlling your actions. The Generals didn't even see her approaching them from behind.

"Be gone." Haggar murmured sweetly by your ear. Somehow, you knew she wasn't talking to the others. On command, your vision began to blur. Dark colours morphed before your minds eye, contorting the room into a disfigured image. "Sweet dreams..." Haggar cooed, before the darkness pulled you into its icy embrace.

>_<

Darkness.

That was all there was for a few ticks. Never ending blackness that seemed to move and breathe around you. So thick that you couldn't see your paws in front of your face. Your side ached with every shaky breathe. So cold... Shivering, you wrapped your arms a little tighter around yourself. The petrified expression of Axca as she had pulled the trigger still vivid in your mind. Stiffly, you patted your side. No pain. That was something at least.

Turning your attention to your surroundings, your eyes slowly adjusted to the lack of light. You appeared to be sprawled in a hallway. The floor was dull grey in colour, the ceiling a vast canopy of swirling galaxies and distant stars. The walls. Swallowing the golf ball sized lump in your throat, you tried to make them out. They wouldn't come into focus. There was the grey of the floor and the starry sky, then absolutely nothing. An abyss? Panic threatened to choke you as you mentally visualised yourself teetering too close to the edge. You screwed your eyelids closed. Once again, you swallowed hard.

Clumsily, you clambered to your feet. Glancing forwards and backwards, you came to the conclusion that the hallway the never ending. Deciding forward was better than standing still, you wrapped your arms around your body, rubbing your paws up and down your arms.

No matter how far you stumbled, or ran, or crawled, there was never a change of scenery. Just an empty void of silence, peering in on your pointless progress. This was what it felt like to be trapped within your own thoughts; or rather, the thoughts of someone who didn't want you there,

You laughed bitterly to yourself. Maybe if this was Haggar's mind, you could poke around for a bit. Pry open some hidden doors, and scan through a few secrets. Who knew, you might even discover a hidden exit. Automatically, you shoved that hope back. There was no point in getting excited for something most probably non-existent.
