Gabi's POV
"Ethan!" I yell through our apartment.

"Gabi!" Ethan yells running out of his room and into my arms to give me a really big hug.

He buries his head in the crock of m neck and wraps his arms tightly around my waist.

"Miss me?" I ask with a small giggle.

"Yes." He mumbles into my neck.

"I haven't seen you in what feels like forever." He says.

"I've just been worried about Diego. After all this X stuff I didn't want him to have an episode." I say.

"I know but I just feel like ever since you and Diego became friends, like even before you guys starting dating you've kinda forgotten about me." He says looking up at me making me feel bad.

"I'm sorry Eth, I swear I didn't mean to do that to you. Today you have my complete undivided attention. I swear no Diego today." I say and my phone starts ringing and it's Diego.

I look at Ethan and he rolls his eyes and I just give him my phone so I won't be tempted to answer it.

"Wait what if something's wrong?" I ask.

"I'll answer." Ethan says hitting the accept button and putting the phone to his ear.

"Woah, woah, Diego slow down I can't understand you, and it's Ethan." Ethan says.

"She what? Holy fuck. Oh my god. Dude are you okay?" He says and I instantly become worried.

"Ethan give me my phone." I say reaching for it but he just holds his finger out to me and turns the other way.

"Yeah, dude. What hospital?" Ethan asks and now I'm extremely paranoid, what the fuck is happening.

"Ethan!" I say raising my voice slightly in attempt to get my phone.

"Yeah, were leaving now. See you soon dude. Stay strong everything will work out I promise." Ethan says.

"Love you brother." Ethan says and hangs up.

"Ethan what the fuck is going on?!" I yell as he hands me my phone.

"Candy's in the hospital." Ethan says and my heart drops.

Ethan and I quickly get downstairs and into his car and he drives as fast as the speed limit let's him to the hospital. We get there and I practically run in. We get to the front desk and check in and the lady gives us the room number and we walk to the elevator and then once we make it to the right floor we fast walk to her room.

I knock lightly before opening the door revealing a sad looking Diego and Candy laying in the hospital bed with multiple machines hooked up to her. Diego sees me and I walk in and instantly go over to him and he wraps his arms around me and bury's his head into my shoulder.

"It's okay baby. Everything's going to work out. I promise." I whisper into his ear before kissing the side of his head.

"I love you so much Gabi." He whispers and I know he's crying because I can feel his tears hitting my shoulder.

"I love you too Diego." I say stuffing my face in the crook of his neck and tightening my grip around him to pull him even closer to me.

The three of us sit around his mom for a couple more hours until Diego has to leave because he had some shit to do. Ethan and I didn't feel comfortable leaving him by himself so we agreed I should go with Diego.

"I'm so sorry best friend. I really wanted to hang out just the two of us today." I say giving Ethan a hug, Diego is in his g-wagon and I'm saying a quick goodbye to Ethan before getting into Diego's car.

"I know making sure he's okay while he's going through all this shit is more important. We can always hang out another time." He says and I nod agreeing.

We say a quick goodbye to each other before he walks off to his car and I get in Diego's.

"Baby she's gonna be okay." I say grabbing Diego's right hand and intertwining our fingers.

"I hope so that's my fucking mom, Gabi you don't understand she's the most important person in my life." He says and I nod my head.

"I know D and I also know she is one of the strongest not only women, but person in the world and everything will work out." I say and he nods his head.

He starts driving but leaves our fingers intertwined on the drive to his house.
