Rex Raid; Not the Long Grass

Soon, nightfall fell across the island of Sorna yet again. After the walk, the multi-coalition group soon arrived at the ridge, then set up camp to rest for the evening before they head off to the worker's village.

Sarah stayed with Moka and Yukari in a tent, while Kurumu and Mizore slept just nearby. Nick was with the other soldiers, who seem to have forgiven and forgotten, while Jessie and Rex were perched up in the branches of a nearby tree.

Braedey was standing guard, waiting for Roland to come back. Right now, he wanted to be sure everyone was intact and good to go. Just as he prepared to head off to sleep, he saw Roland walk up with Ajay, while Carter headed off to bed.

"Did you find him?" Braedey asked Roland, the three men sitting down on a fallen tree log just nearby the camp.

"Just the parts they didn't like." Roland replied reluctantly to the Transformatrix bearer. "Map." He asked next, as Ajay pulled out the map, while Braedey held a lit torch in his hand over the map to illuminate the object. "Now, the operations building is right down in there, about a mile and a half from the base of these cliffs." Roland informed the two gentlemen.

"Did you see it?" Braedey asked.

Roland nodded. "But, the climb down won't be easy." He looks to the sleeping soldiers. "We'll let them sleep one more hour. Then we hit it."

With that, Braedey shuts off the light, as Ajay and Roland prepare to get some shuteye.

As Braedey began to make his way over to the tent, there was a loud thump echoing in the darkness. He stopped, freezing dead in his tracks. He slowly turned his head to a small pond of water nearby. Another loud thump could be heard, and at the same time, a single perfect ring could be seen rippling in the water.

Inside the tent, both Sarah and Moka woke up the sound of the loud thumping, and the vibrations running through the ground. The two stayed very silent and still, none of them breathing a word, even if they could. They knew that sound and the vibration from anywhere, and Moka instantly felt flashbacks of what had happened to her, Yukari, and Kurumu when the T-Rex broke out of its cage coming right back to her.

"Oh, no." Sarah said almost silently. Moka wanted to say something or do something, but she couldn't. She felt like her body was completely frozen with liquid nitrogen and crystallised Energon.

Outside the tent, Braedey kept absolutely still, slowly turning his head towards the tent, knowing Sarah, Moka, and Yukari were in there. He would activate the Transformatrix right now, but he fears that would draw too much attention with the flash of light, along with the sound of shifting metal. He looked over to Rex and Jessie, only to see them fast asleep in the tree.

'At least they'll be safe up there.' He thought to himself, then focused back on the tent, just as the loud thumping got closer and closer to the camp.
