Fake Dates

So the Yule Ball was seriously a night away and for me to not have a date already did surprise me.

I wasn't worthy of even taking on a date let alone even making social interaction with or even dancing with.

I sighed not bothering as it didn't matter to me.

I could go there and make them all wish they took me.

I could be the princess of the party or rather the Juliet of the ball.

Like Belle and the Beast except as far as I know Hogwarts dishes don't sing to you, shame.

Just realise me and Madame Pince were on about that exact same thing earlier.

She asked me weather I had a date or not, my well being was her priority.

Not that I asked her to make it her own priority as I didn't need looking after, just a silly little girl.

No I didn't have a date nor did I intend on having one.

I was walking around the corridors of school with both Sam and Joely.

We passed a group of boys preferably known as Draco and his friends or sidekicks in which he refers to them as, weird boy.

Obviously I knew that Draco was main lead, the bully of school followed by both Neville and Cedric whom my friends love.

I tried to walk past as fast as I could but the girls wanted to stay and flirt with Neville and Cedric.

Upon me trying I was stopped by Draco's voice, a voice I don't want to hear right now.

'Niki' Draco's voice called out to me, in that moment I was confused beyond confusion.

'Yes?' I asked turning around to face him, still indeed confused.

I was not only faced with him but I also seen my library worker best friend.

Yes, I'm best friends with the librarian which is a lot of fun.

She smiled at me to see that I was actually talking to Draco.

I was a death eater with him so we knew each other's in's and out's, I guess you could say it that way.

'Well the Yule Ball is coming up in a few days and I was wonderin-' Draco asked before I cut him off happily.

'No!' I shouted quickly. That was the safest option I have made.

'Uh..I mean I already have a date so it wasn't as if I was asking you' Draco laughed, he played that off well.

'You simply didn't think I was asking you, did you?' Draco said as he laughed more evilly to make this whole little play off more believable.

'I was only wondering if you were actually going to the ball or just going as a little pathetic servant maid' Draco said once more. He laughed at me and I laughed back. This stopped Draco dead in his tracks.

'Well have fun attending the ball alone. I mean obviously no one has asked you, have they?' I asked as I enjoyed his silence then I knew he was going to say something. I needed the last word.

'I'll be enjoying the night with my date' I said with a smirk, more like his signature smirk which was funny because it was like I took the smirk right off his face.

I walk away with Sam and Joely before realising now I had to find a date.

There was now just those few golden hours of the night before left to find a date.

We were in 5th year and Draco had an older brother as well as a younger brother.

His older brother in 7th year so this will be his last Yule Ball so I'll make it something to remember, having someone beautiful on his arm.
