"Daddy won't you tell me a story? " Kiran Singh Oberoi looked at her Father who was standing at the door of her Room. He smiled and sat next to her to tell her the much wanted Story.
"You want to hear a Story dearest? What kind of Story?" He asked and caressed her face.
Her hair was as dark brown as his but her face and her eyes were like her mothers. Whenever Omkara looked at his princess he could see his Wife in her. Whenever she pouted her lips when she didn't get what she wants or when she was happily jumping around like her mother did.
"Oh ho papa! You know which Story I would love to hear. The story of how you and Mama fell in love." Kiran got closer and hugged her Father tightly. Like always he was working till Night but he always managed to get some time off of work to be with her, His princess. She was his Everything.
"Alright One day there was a tiny little crazy woman. She entered your Papas Life like a hurricane. Everything changed the moment he saw her on the street with her best friend eating Pani Puri. He just couldn't keep his eyes off her so he walked over to her and asked her out." Omkara smiled remembering the first Time he met the love of his life. That Day had changed his life forever but he wouldn't change it for the world.
"And what happened then?"
"She slapped your Daddy really hard and asked how could he just come up to them and ask for a Date without introducing himself. Your daddy was shocked and immediately told her his name. I thought she would reject me for sure, this little girl from Bareilly really was a hurricane of mood changes." He closed his eyes as he relived those Memories.
"Sorry. I am Omkara. I have seen you coming here every day and today I just had to talk to you. What's your name...?" He smiled gently at her.
"Gauri, My Name is Gauri and yes I would love to go out with you. I was hoping you would finally ask me." She giggled and he had a hard time controlling his own laughter. The minute he heard her laugh he thought she sounded like an angel.
"Should I pick you up?" Omkara asked and gave her his phone number.
She nodded and told him her address.
Later in the evening he returned Home only to find his Mother talking to her close friend Kalindi. They had been friends since childhood, until Kalindi had moved away. Just a few years again she and her family had moved back to Mumbai.
"Of course we would be so happy to meet you and your daughter tonight. Yes Omkara is here too. You know that Tej and Avdhoot are trying hard to get these two married." Jhanvi laughed and saw her youngest Son Omkara coming up to her in anger. He didn't want to get married to some stranger when he just had met Gauri.
"Mom what nonsense is that? I won't marry her." He had waited till his mother had hung up before speaking, no need to insult any elder.
Jhanvi sighed and looked at her son. He was handsome looking and he had a good job being a self-made Artist and part-time Business Man but she wanted him to have a family. To live and love. And she knew that Kalindi's Daughter would be perfect.
"Please at least meet her once. Afterwards we can meet any girl you want." She said almost begging.
Omkara knew he couldn't say no so he said he would meet her only once and afterwards wouldn't like to hear again about Kalindi's Daughter.
"Daddy did you knew that it was Love at first sight? Or did it happen after you married Aayi?"
Kiran looked at her Father and tried reading his faces. Like always he was smiling but something was missing, something even she his tiny little princess could figure out what it was. Why did it seem like that no matter what her father was always sad?
