Mon-El and I sat down on my couch. "You wanted to talk to me about something?" I ask nervously. 

"Right, yeah," he stutters. "Well, when you were trying to contact our ship today, you got through to us. We could hear you but we weren't able to return the message."

My eyes go wide. "You traveled back in time?" He asks. 

I don't look at him. I look down at my feet.

"Kara, please, talk to me," he begs. 

"It all happened so fast," I start. "I threw Reign into the fire and for a second I thought it was over. But then, she came back up, not in control of herself and her heat vision killed Sam, my mom and then you."

Mon-El stands up and comes around to me. "Hey," he pulls me into a hug. I sigh. I've missed this. 

"I didn't want to tell you when you came back. I didn't realize you could hear us."

"Kara, you are the most selfless person I know," he says into my hair. 

"I know it's selfish, to go back into the past but I couldn't handle it. I finally got my mom," I pause, "and you, and the thought of losing both of you all over again, I-"

I don't let go of Mon-El. I relax into his body, allowing him to stroke my hair. "It's okay. Hey, everything's okay," he looks at me and smiles. 

"But it's not okay," I say. "Now there's another Kryptonian out there and we don't have a lead. Barry told me that traveling in time had consequences and now I have to pay it forward."

"I just hope you know that you're not alone. You have Alex, Winn, James," he says. 

I look at him. "and now I have you," I say. 

"And now you have me."

Mon-El holds me close and doesn't take his eyes off me. My eyes travel from his eyes to his lips. All I can think about is the last time I kissed them. 

Before everything happened. 

What I would give to kiss those lips again. 

Without thinking, I lean in.
