'Knock Knock' ..

I heard a sound.

'Knock Knock'

I opened my eyes slowly by adjusting the light of the room. The rays of the Sun were coming from the window. It was morning now. I woke up carefully and looked at my wall clock, 7:00am. I was not that late and today was my day off ; so who it could be, knocking my door this early morning?

I got up from my bed, just then a sharp pain hit my head's nerves.

"Oh no, I got a headache.!" I whispered annoyingly.

I felt like someone put heavy loads on my head.

I went near the door carefully, rapping a thin sheet on my body as I was feeling cold suddenly and opened it.

Maladi was standing with a worried face at my doorway just like she did yesterday night.

"Maladi, is everything fine? You have come here this early morning." I asked her confusingly.

"No, nothing bad happened. I just came here to see you." She replied and eyed me for a while.

"Oh.." I said and suddenly started to cough.

"Hey are you ok?" She touched my forehead.

"Yeah.." I again coughed.

"You are burning like hell! Come and rest on the bed." She was shocked and worried.

"No no, I will be fine. After taking some medicine. You don't worry Maladi." I told her with a husky voice. My tears were falling from my eyes due to cough.

"No no, you are not. Tell me where are your medicines?" She made me lay down on the bed and started to search for medicine.

"Where is it ?" She asked.

"In the right side of the drawer." I replied her.

"Ok." She took the box of the medicine from there and came near me. She opened the box for me and I took the medicine from that box. She handed me a glass of water and I took the medicine.

"If your fever will not go down then I will call a doctor." She said worried and sat on the bed beside me. I looked at her eyes and smiled.

"Oh God, what happens to you so suddenly. You were fine yesterday. But see, now you are looking so pale." She was so much worried for me.

"Don't worry Maladi I will be fine. In this season it is common for me." I touched her right hand with my left hand.

"I hope so." She smiled faintly.

"You did not eat anything from yesterday. I am taking your breakfast here." She stood up from my bed.

"No need Maladi. I will go down stairs after a while." I tried to get up from my position. But she stopped me.

"Shut up. Take rest!" She said angrily.

"But.."

"No more buts." She pulled the cover to my torso.

"If you need any doctor's concern please tell me without any hesitation. I will inform that to sir." She said.

"No Maladi you don't need to tell anything to boss. I don't want any trouble to him. I don't want him to know about it." I jerked up from the bed and pleaded to her.

"It will not cause any trouble to him. Trust me sweetie. Infact he is the one who told me to take care of you. He guessed your sickness after knowing that you did not eat anything from yesterday. He called me this early morning and told me to check you out." She said while caressed my head.
