Continued From The Past....

It was the dawn, the Sun was at it's horizon; slowly slowly rising and spreading it's beams to the Nature. The wild animals were awakened with the touch of new warm rays of the Sun; the greenery of the forest leaves was reflecting though the speard of the Sun rays.

Today was the day, when I was going to meet Vikram again. He was coming with his father, King of Dooars, Prajapati Singha; usually he came after every 15 days, but for some defined reasons they were coming today to meet Father.

I was very happy, meeting with him was always the best moment of my life. Mother never let me went out side of the Rani Mahal (Queen Chamber) even though I promised her to behave properly in front of everyone. My Father never said anything for it. But my Mother always became very much strict.

"The girls shouldn't allow to get out from their palace."

She always said this whenever I wanted to go out. But never told me the reason.

But whenever Vikram came, he always took me with him and Mother couldn't say 'no' to him as he was the next King.

We did our adventures outside of the palace. He always taught me something new everytime he came to visit me. He was learning many things to his Guru Mahashaya (Teacher of Indian traditional educational institutions). He told me so many amusing things around the world.

Can you believe that Earth rotates around the Sun, not the Sun which rotates around the Earth!?

I told my Mother wanting to go to the same Guru Mahashaya as him. But she refused and said those were not for us, only for males.

But why? I also want to learn like Vikram!

I was being prepared for his arrival as I knew he would anytime soon. I had to put my shade in front of me as I knew my Mother would object me if she found out about my meeting with Vikram with bare face.

I wore my faded yellow Sharee with golden lines and red blouse ( Indian Traditional Clothes); took the Acchal (part of the Sharee) upto my forehead to cover my face. Looking at the mirror I checked my appearance, as I didn't want to get another scolding from my Mother.

"The women should always lower their eyes to others how many time I have to tell you, Devarari?" I looked at the ground as Mother was very much upset with me.

"Let it go Madhavi Devi; she is only 13 years old. There is still time for her to learn." Father said to Mother with her soft voice.

"Forgive me my Lord to disobey you; but she needs to learn as soon as possible. Otherwise what will she do in her in law's house after marriage?" Mother was very much angry.

That incident of last night was still on my mind and making me upset till this morning.

"Not now; he is coming so be happy!" I murmured to myself and looked at my reflection. I smiled and weeped the lone tear falling from my left eye.

"THE KING HAS ARRIVED; TAKE YOUR POSITION!" I heard the voice of our chief palace guard, suddenly.

"He has come!" I ran towards the balcony smilingly; my other sisters and women from the Rani Mahal were also standing there covering their face with Acchal.

The sun was now above the sky, might be 7th hour of the morning.

The king of Dooars entered into the boundary of our Palace and Father hugged him with his usual soft and joyful smile; King's response was same as his. Behind him Vikram was standing in his Parl White kurta and white Dhoti, looking at the our direction with his blue eyes, recognizing me he gave a smile.
