So. I am nonbinary, and in a relationship. You might ask, "Layn, what does your partner call you if you aren't a boy or a girl?" Well. Here's the answer.
My boyfriend calls me his Paramour due to my personal preference. You can choose whatever you like to be called. Datemate, paramour, anything. There's lists online. I've found paramour to be the most comfortable for me. It's old French for "My Love" and I think that's really sweet and neutral.
In our relationship, since I'm not out to everyone, I am known as his girlfriend to everyone other than our friends. I'm fine with that, I'm his paramour in our eyes and that makes it more special. He respects my pronouns and name and dysphoria and stuff and he's really sweet and accepting. Idk what really to say other than that.
