I'm out having dinner with the family and they keep asking questions about Michael. It's kind of annoying because I wanna keep that personal for now. My dad looked over at me, took a sip of his drink and began to talk, "The last boyfriend you had broke up with you within a day, why are you so willing to date again so soon?" I looked up at him. "I'm not. We're just friends for now. I mean, I like him but I'm not telling him. Besides, he's not like other guys." I said. "All guys can be jerks." Johnathan said butting into the conversation. I rolled my eyes. "I know but, Michael wouldn't do anything to hurt a girl." I said. "If he breaks your heart in the future, I don't want to hear it." said my dad. "Wow, thanks for the support, dad." I said looking at him with a look. My mom looked at him too and hit his arm. "Don't be like that to your daughter." He looked at mom and said, "Well…" then shrugged. "Y'all know what. Stay out of my business. If I wanted to date him, then I will. If I get heartbroken, then let it be." I said looking at all of them.

We went back to our hotel in silence. I feel awkward and bad now. But, I had to tell them. They always butt into my dating life and it's annoying. If I had troubles with dating, I would talk to them. I don't see why they have to be nosy in it. Once we get to the hotel, I get my pajamas on and go to bed while everyone went to watch a movie in the living room.

Kyle looked around and said quietly, "Why do y'all bother Haley about everything…?" everyone looked at him with a weird looked. Johnathan spoke, "Why don't you? I mean, I know what guys are like these days at that age. I don't want her to get hurt or him trying to make a move on her, that's all." Dad nodded in agreement. "Well, I think we should be happy. If she gets heartbroken, let her deal with it herself. I mean, she is going to be a young adult in a couple of years. Cut her some slack." Said Kyle. I listened to their conversation and thought, 'Is that boy drunk or is he actually taking my side for once?' Jonathan once again, butted into the conversation, "Wow. For an eleven year old he has a smart mind."

I soon fell asleep and when I woke up the next morning everyone was eating breakfast. I could still feel the awkwardness so I just fixed a plate, sat down and ate in silence.
