Michael here. From now on for awhile you'll hear my side of the story. Well, Haley said we're just friends and I'm totally okay with that. We have gotten really close though and I don't know how she would react when I have to tell her I'm leaving to go back to California here in just a few weeks.
"Hey, mom. Can we talk?" I asked. "Of course, son. Sit down." my mother patted the seat next to her. I sat beside her and looked down. "That girl, Haley I told y'all about. How am I supposed to tell her that we are leaving in a few weeks?" My mother looked at me. "Michael...at first she'll be upset. But maybe she'll slowly get over it. If y'all are really close, it'll take some time. Just try to stay in contact, okay?" I look down thinking the total opposite of what she just said. "Yeah...thank you." I said getting up.
Me, my sisters and brothers walked around the beach together. I didn't say much. I was trying to think of a way of how to tell Haley. I wasn't used to this kind of stuff. 'Haley, there's something I need to tell you. I know we've gotten really close. But...' I stopped thinking. You know what? I can't tell her. I can't see a girl hurt. "Um. What Mike?" asked Jackie. Did I seriously say that outloud I ask myself. "Uh. Nothing. Just thinking outloud, That's all." I said and continued to walk.
