Me and the rest of the family are all sitting at the pool. "Haley." Johnathan whispers. "Me and Kyle got some of those little stink bombs from the prank shop the first day we came. So, you want to help set them off around some people?" he added in a whisper. I look around from the corner of my eyes, nod and giggle.
Us three got up and tried to find good places to set them off. "Okay. There is three stink bombs. We have to find three good places to set them off." Johnathan said trying not to be too obvious of what's going to happen. We look and look. "What about over there?" I said pointing to a group of kids Kyle's age. Johnathan nods, hands me a stink bomb. "Now, when we are all in our spots, I will give a signal, we'll all step on the stink bombs, leave then meet here and watch what happens, got it?" Johnathan said. "When I run my hand through my hair, step on it." he added, I nodded and found a place near the kids. Kyle went to find a place near people who were eating while Johnathan went near a group of adults. Johnathan gave his signal, we all stepped on the bombs and walked casually to our meeting place watching to see what happens.
"Ew…do, do you smell that?" A kid asked covering his nose. "Did you fart again?" another kid asked. "What? No!" "I think I'm gonna cry." the first kid said as they all started running. We laugh and look to where Kyle put his. "I'm trying to eat here, can you find a restroom please." A man said to the woman beside him. "It wasn't me!" Most of the people stopped eating either thinking it was the food or the person beside them. Last but not least, we looked where Johnathan set his off. One guy got up and left with this disgusted face, two women with children started checking their kids to see if they did a little business.
We walk over to our seats and sit down laughing. "Never have I ever thought my baby sister would join in on our mischief." said Johnathan catching his breath.
Later that day we are having a picnic on the beach. "So, Haley. I'm not trying to start anything buy, do you see yourself with Michael…ever?" asked Johnathan. I looked over at him taking a sip of water. "Well…" I started speaking. "I have some feelings for him. But, I don't think he has some back for me. Besides, he lives in California. We live in Florida. There's no way we can keep a relationship." they looked at me. "You're starting to realize what we've been telling you all along?" dad asked. "No. I realized the whole time, it's just that my heart was telling me different but I don't want to listen to it anymore." I said sadly. "No. No. Don't say that. You listen to your heart no matter what. You never know anyway. We were just saying we don't want you to get hurt because we know you never really were so serious in relationships then. You can like who ever. Just be careful. Don't fall for him even more than now. Trust us, okay?" my father said and I nodded.
That night I layed in bed thinking, 'Do I really have a chance with him? But I'm not going to fall for him, no.' I soon fell asleep having a dream about what we talked about earlier today, it was weird.
