I keep thinking and thinking that my parents were right. All I ever do is get hurt in relationships. I know that Michael has to leave and I can't do anything about it, it's just I am so emotional that everything gets to me so easily. But if you'd met Mike and know him like I do, then you'd understand.
"Haley! Breakfast is ready!" I heard my dad call out. I got up and walked to the kitchen and grabbed a plate to get some food. "I want to hang with you after breakfast." Johnathan whispered in my ear walking to the table. I looked at him weird taking a bite of my bacon thinking, 'This ain't gonna be good.'
Well, it's after breakfast and I'm walking with Johnathan around the beach just because he wanted to talk. "I'm sorry for not doing anything last night when you needed someone." He said and I looked up at him with my arms crossed. "Don't be." I said. He looked down at me and spoke, "Of course I have to be. You're my little sister. Usually brothers don't care but I'm different. Ever since you were born, I grew up a little. I knew that since I had a little sister, I'd have to do anything so you're safe. Especially with guys. That's why I'm so cautious when I see you with guys." Did Johnathan just say that. My BROTHER saying he cares so much about me...wow..."Johnathan...are you being serious?" I said feeling like this was all a dream. "Yes. Yes I am being serious." he said. Right then, I knew he was being serious. I honestly didn't know what to say.
Once we get back to the hotel I just stuck with Johnathan because honestly, I feel like I can trust him now. Talk to him about anything. Honestly, he made me feel better...
