"Grace lets go!" Ashton yelled from downstairs as I ran downstairs with my heels in hand, clutching my lipstick in the other.

"Alright let's go."

"You look stunning Gracie," Ashton said, a smile adorning in his face.

"Thanks, babe," I said giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before we walked outside to get into our Uber, which would be taking us to dinner. Ashton chatted with the driver throughout the whole ride there, which is pretty typical of Ashton since he is always talking, and is an all around people person. However, I never mind, because it gives me time to reply to important emails and text messages.

I recently got a job at Revolve, working for their marketing team, which is right up my alley, because it is almost the same as the job that I had back in Sydney, only with a different company. I asked for a transfer from Fashion Bunker to the Los Angeles headquarters, but unfortunately for me, they did not have any job openings that would have suited me.

"Thank you," Ashton and I said in unison before we got out of the Uber, heading over to Bestia where we were having dinner tonight. Usually, when Ashton and I go out for dinner, we end up here, because they do the most incredible Italian food, and it is one of our favourite restaurants.

"Hey you two, right this way," the waiter, Jamie said, who we had grown to know and see on a regular basis.

"How are you, Jamie?" I asked with a smile before I sat down.

"Good thanks Grace, got a busy shift tonight so I will catch up with you guys later," Jamie said with a grin placing the menus down on our usual table.

"Alright man, see you later," Ashton said as we both opened the menu, searching for something new to have, which we do every time. Ashton ended up choosing the Spaghetti Rustichella, and I ended up going with the Whole Wheat Fagiolini, Ashton also ordering us a bottle of the house red wine for us to share.

"God I am so excited," I said with a grin, Ashton holding my right hand over the table as we waited for our food to arrive. It had been just over nine months since I moved to Los Angeles, and it is probably one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I have met so many incredible people, and living with Ashton has been amazing, as we definitely balance each other out, and make everything work no matter what.

"Me too," Ashton said with a slightly nervous smile, which made me realise that his hands were slightly sweaty, which confused me since Ashton is rarely nervous.

"Why are you nervous?" I asked, very intrigued as to why one of the most confident people that I know, has sweaty hands and a nervous smile.

"Oh would you look at that, our wine is here," Ashton exclaimed, completely changing the subject which meant he did not want to talk about it, so I dropped it. For now.

"Oh good," I said with a grin, as our waiter poured us a glass each, placing the ice bucket on the table so our wine did not go warm. Ashton continued to talk to me about my job, and his upcoming tour, rambling on about anything and everything to make me try and forget why he is so nervous, yet it did not work, but still, I did not ask why.

Our dinner eventually came, my stomach on the verge of collapse as I was that hungry. The pasta did not disappoint, as it never does.
