Emmi POV
"Quinn!" I banged on the door. I knew she self harmed, what if she cut too deep? I couldn't lose her, not my sister. I ignored the sharp pain on my cheek from dad's hand. I had to get to her. I took a pin out of my hair and stuck it into the lock. After a few twists and it unlocked.
"Quinn!" I ran to the side of the bathtub, to see my sister knocked out from the loss of blood. I grabbed her limp body and ran down the stairs. I had to get her to the hospital, ASAP.
I pushed through people, ignoring the pain it caused me. I have to save Quinn. I dashed through the door of the local hospital.
"Someone help her, she's dying!" I screamed. A male doctor immediately picked her up and took her to the emergency room.
"Thank god!" I sat down and wiggled my thumbs, nervously.
A boy with blonde hair sat beside me, "Are you OK?"
"Not really. My sister tried to kill herself and I ran to the hospital bare foot," I pointed out.
"I'm here just to wait. I can't get into my own house because it's sorrounded by police looking for my missing sister," he rolled his eyes.
"Name?" I asked.
"Rodway. What about you?"
"Emmaline, but I prefer Emmi," I smiled.
"I'm going to get some coffee, do you want anything?" he put out his hand for me to take. I took his hand and stood up. We walked down the halls together. Rodway tried to put his arm around me, but it hit my stomach, where I had huge bruises. I winced from the sudden pain.
"Emmi, did I hurt you?" he looked concerned.
"N-No," I stuttered. He lifted my white shirt, revealing the bruises on my stomach and cuts on my hip. He ran his fingers over them, lightly.
"Who did this to you?"
"Nobody, I-I um, hit my stomach on the edge on the table last week," I lied. He didn't believe me. I had to get away, now. I started to walk away, as quickly as I could.
"Wait! Emmaline!" he shouted from behind me. I began to sprint, I look behind me to see him one last time. Tripping over a nurse's leg, I landed head-first on the hard ground. I touched my head and felt blood. This is not good. A wave of dizziness washed over me.
"Emmaline!" someone landed beside me, "Quick, she's bleeding a lot." I was placed on a large stretcher and taken into a hospital room. Are you fucking serious, right now?! You should be helping my sister, not me!
"Q-Quinn. Help Quinn, m-my s-s-sister," I stuttered. The world started to fade away.
"No! Emmaline, stay with us!" a doctor screamed. I tried my best to stay awake, but it was almost impossible. Death wanted me and it wanted me NOW.
***
"She's been in a coma for two days! The chance of her waking up is slim," a voice said. I have to see Quinn. I started to wiggle my toes, then my fingers. Bigger movements. I tried to open my eyes, but they felt like they were glued shut. You can do this! I tried as hard as I could and they opened. All I could see was a bright white light. But it faded into a hospital room.
"Emmaline? Can you hear me?" the voice asked.
"Yes," my voice came out rusty and my throat hurt from it.
"Thank god! Emmi, you were in a coma for two almost three days."
"I have to see Quinn. R-Right now!" my voice began to clear the husky undertone.
"Your not in good shape Emm-" I cut him off.
"RIGHT NOW!!!" I shouted, my voice almost completely back to normal.
"Your sister. Well, she's-" he started to slow down.
"What? What's wrong?!" I demanded.
