The time we spent getting to know each other was some of the best time of my life. Early on was awkward. I recalled that Tony would keep giving me dirty or suspicious looks, which I returned. Months passed. I trained more and more, until eventually they let me in on the ongoing mission; getting Loki's scepter back.

We began infiltrating the Sokovian HYDRA base.

"Shit!" Tony cried.

"Language!" Steve warned. "JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?"

"The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any HYDRA base we've taken." JARVIS replied.

"Loki's scepter must be here. Stucker couldn't mount this defense without it." Thor could hardly contain the excitement form his voice. "At long last."

"At long last is lasting a little long boys." Natasha said.

"Yeah. I think we lost the element of surprise." Clint added as soldiers shot at him.

"Wait a second. No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said 'language'?"

"I know." There was a pause. "It just slipped out." Steve sounded embarrassed.

I spun around quickly as Clint got knocked down.

"You didn't see that coming?" A silver haired man smirked. He disappeared before Clint could shoot him, and then he got shot.

"Clint!" Natasha cried out.

The blur knocked Steve down as he passed him. I chased after him, to no avail. He kept disappearing and reappearing, each time just out of reach. I tried to hit him but he was already gone.

"This is great fun!" He laughed, which only infuriated me more. He didn't seem to take my fighting seriously.

"We have an enhanced in the field." Steve announced.

"Clint's hit!" Natasha went over to where Clint was lying. "Somebody want to deal with that bunker?" The Hulk came crashing through. "Thank you."

"Stark, we're really gonna need to get inside." Steve said as he fought soldiers.

"I'm closing in." Tony said and after a pause he announced "Drawbridge is down, people."

"The enhanced?" Thor asked Steve.

"He's a blur. All the new players we've faced, I've never seen this. In fact, I still haven't." Steve said.

"Clint's hurt pretty bad guys. We're gonna need evac." Natasha said over the communicators.

"I can get Barton to the jet. The sooner we're gone the better. You, Stark and Luft secure the scepter." Thor said to Steve.

"Copy that." Steve replied as HYDRA soldiers approached in their tank.

"It looks like they're lining up."

"Well, they're excited." Thor pounded on Steve's shield with his hammer, and the force knocked down all the soldiers. "Find the scepter." Thor flew off.

"And for gosh sake, watch your language!" Tony added. Steve sighed.

"That's not going away anytime soon." He ran towards the base.

"I'll go ahead, in case Tony needs more backup." I flew ahead as Steve nodded.

I found Tony muttering to himself.

"Please be a secret door, please be a secret door, please be a secret door..." He pushed on the wall and it opened up. "Yay!" Tony squealed as he opened the secret door. I groaned. What a child. He looked at me, and beckoned for me to follow.

We walked through the secret passageway. The room we entered was huge, hosting recovered artifacts I recognized from the Battle of New York. There was a gigantic Chitauri leviathan in the middle, and some of Tony's scrapped armor.

"We have a second enhanced. Female. Do not engage." We heard Steve over the communicators. "Guys, I got Strucker."

"Yeah, I got... something bigger." Tony said slowly, and my eyes followed his gaze. The scepter. "Thor, I got eyes on the prize."

"To-" I was cut off from trying to warn him by a hand over my face. The silver haired man shushed me. I watched a red haired woman, undoubtably the second enhanced, send a small burst of scarlet energy at Tony. I struggled in the man's arms as the woman came in my direction next.

Suddenly, the room was gone. Before me was New York. I looked around in confusion. Human bodies were strewn about. Loki's victims. I looked away. It wasn't my fault.

Looking away seemed to break the spell, and I found myself in the room once more. I screamed as I hit the woman. I took her by surprise, and she was forced to use her hands instead of her powers. I grinned. We both knew I was more skilled in combat than her.

"Break it up." The silver haired man urged. The red haired woman looked at him briefly, a mistake on her part. I slashed her face with an arrow, grinning madly. My grin faded as her eyes grew scarlet. I found myself unable to speak as they led me away from Tony's distress. We watched as Tony grabbed the scepter.

"We're just going to let him take it?" Wanda? And what about her?" He turned to me.

"She will be useful to us, Pietro." Wanda smiled to herself.
