"I have been falling - for thirty minutes!" He fumed, then groaned.
"You can handle it from here." The magic man dismissed us.
"Yes, yes. Thank you very much for your help." Thor brushed him off.
"Good luck."
"Handle me? Who are you?" He unsheathed his daggers.
"Loki." Thor warned.
"You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't think for one minute, you second-rate..."
"Loki?" I interrupted, not believing my eyes. Loki took a step back in surprise as well.
My wings grew heavier in an instant. I knew by now that meant they had turned black once more. The angry fire in his eyes died down.
"Luft." He replied sheepishly.
"You're alive?" I yelled.
"I have been for some time."
"Oh have you now." My eyebrows rose. He gulped as he realized his mistake.
"Bye-bye." The sorcerer gestured with both hands.
Just like that, a magic portal came over us. Loki fell once again, letting out another groan. The portal closed behind us as quickly as it had appeared.
We found ourselves on a cliffside. It was beautiful, undisturbed nature. The ocean's waves lapped nearby.
"Why is he here? How is he here? You told me he was dead." I complained.
"It turns out I was wrong." Thor admitted. "But we will have time to deal with the matter after."
"After what? Why am I even here?" I grumbled, forcing myself to calm down. As I did, my wings began to flicker brighter.
"I suspect our father wants to speak with you as well." He replied. "Father?"
A lone figure stood at the other side of the meadow at the cliff's edge, waves crashing below. It was Odin. It was an odd sight. He was dressed plainly, in humble midguardian clothes. We approached him quickly.
"Look at this place. It's beautiful." Odin continued to look out at the ocean.
"Father, it's us." Thor said.
"My sons. I've been waiting for you." He announced. Loki looked surprised to heal Odin call him his son. "May I have a moment with Luft?"
Thor and Loki looked at each other, then me. I shrugged, I didn't know what he wanted. They stood further away out of earshot.
"Luft. I know it has been difficult for you. But you do understand now, do you not?" His gaze burned into mine.
"I do. I understand now why you did what you did." I bowed my head, finding it difficult to maintain eye contact.
"You are redeemed." He began. I breathed out a sigh of relief. Finally, at long last, I could return to my old life. "Almost. You only need to do one more thing." He said.
"What?" I exclaimed angrily. "But I did everything! What else could there be for me to do?" I fumed. He only chuckled, which angered me more.
"Alright, that's enough. We've come to take you home." Thor interrupted, putting his hands on my shoulders in a soothing manner.
"Home, yes. Your mother, she calls me. Do you hear it?" He seemed to listen. Thor fired a look at Loki, who held up his hands in defense.
"Loki, lift your magic." He hissed. Odin turned to Loki, who stiffened. But Odin smiled.
