"How do you know they'll be here?" I shouted after Valkyrie as we made our way through the massive street festival. She didn't answer me. Even if she did, I doubt I would hear her. Revelers were dancing and cheering while throwing powdered paint at each other in celebration of the Hulk.
Out of nowhere, she clocked a Scrapper with a brass knuckle right cross. He dropped, revealing Thor clutching none other than Bruce Banner.
"Hi." Thor greeted.
"Hi." Valkyrie replied.
"I was gonna do that."
"Yeah, well, I did it first."
"That's good. What are you doing here?" Thor asked.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were leaving."
"I got sidetracked."
"What's with the..." She motioned to the blanket he had.
"It's my disguise." He looked proud.
"But I can see your face."
"Not when I do this, you can't." He covered his face. "Your hair looks nice. I like what you did with it. Change it? Washed it maybe?"
She rolled her eyes. I couldn't take it anymore and burst out laughing.
"Luft!" Thor exclaimed. "You made it!"
"Luft is here?" Bruce asked.
"No time for chatting here." Valkyrie took Thor's arm.
"What are those things on her eyes? Are those the people that she's killed? She's so beautiful and strong..." Bruce babbled to Thor and I.
Valkyrie escorted us through the street.
"Who is this guy?" She asked.
"He's a friend." Thor replied.
"Who? Me? I'm Bruce." Bruce introduced himself.
"I feel like I know you." She said as she led us into a Sakaarian apartment building.
"I feel like I know you too." He replied wide eyed.
We continued down the hallway.
"Look, I've spent years in a haze trying to forget my past. Sakaar seemed like the best place to drink and forget and to die one day." She admitted.
"I was thinking that you drink too much, and that probably was going to kill you." Thor said and I gave him an incredulous look.
"I don't plan to stop drinking, but I don't want to forget. I can't turn away anymore. So, if I'm going to die, well... it may as well be driving my sword through the heart of that murderous hag."
"Good." Thor nodded curtly.
We arrived at her door.
"Yeah. So I'm saying that I wanna be on the team. Has it got a name?"
"Yeah, it's called the... Revengers." Thor looked at Bruce and I and nodded enthusiastically. I facepalmed.
"Revengers?" She asked.
"Because I'm getting revenge. You're getting revenge. Luft will get some revenge. Do you want revenge?" Thor asked Bruce.
"I'm undecided." Bruce smiled uncertainly.
"Okay." Thor nodded.
"Also, I've got a peace offering." Valkyrie opened her front door, revealing Loki. He was as restrained as anyone could be, sitting in the middle of the apartment with a dozen chains around him.
