Chapter 8: The Shadow Duel Pt. 3

  Yugi

I groaned, as I opened my eyes to see I was in a Shadow Game! 

"Oh, this is just perfect! What could be any worse than this?!?" I thought as I saw a girl with red hair as she was in the duel herself with Nicole! 

"Hey, get out of here!" I yelled to the young Duelist as she smirks at Nicole, "I have to say, Nicole, you have some skill at this. 

I would love to duel you at home. I know this isn't the real you. 

The Nicole I know, would never be this aggressive. So, whoever you are controlling my friend, you are going down!" 

"Jemma, Jemma. You really are something else. You honestly think that you would defeat me." She asks. 

"Yeah, I can! As long I have friends supporting me , I fear nothing in this Shadow Game, that is how Yugi and the gang taught me." 

As I was amazed of Jemma's speech, she noticed someone else who was cheering her on. 

"Go for it, Jemma! We're here for ya!" I knew the voice too well, but I couldn't believe it. 

It was Atem, along with Mana, T'ea and Joey! 

T'ea said, "No matter what the outcome would be, our friendship pattern is always with you, Jemma!" 

Jemma smiles, as her hand glows , "Thanks you guys . I thought that I would be all alone, but knowing you are here, supporting me, there is no way I would loose. 

Now I summon Swords of Revealing Lights! " 

I was surprise as Nicole groans as Jemma said, "You know that this spell card would allow me to draw a card from my deck and you can't attack me for the next three turns." 

I thought, "Who is Jemma, and why is dueling?"

Atem

I breathe a sigh of relief when Jemma drew Sword of Revealing Lights. "That was too close to comfort. " I said, "I'm just glad Jemma had that card in her deck when she needed it. " 

T'ea said, "Yeah, that is way too close. I mean , she literally had some of her life points taken with the last attack from Nicole back then.

She would loose half of her soul, along with Yugi's. This duel is harder than when you have to battle Marik's evil half and Yugi's life was at stake back at the Battle City Finals." 

I groan, remembering that battle, "I really thought that would be the end for me, luckily that Yugi encouraged me to go through it." 

As I look at the battle, I notice Yugi waking up! He was shocked of seeing Jemma. I guess that he had no idea that she is from another dimension . 

All she can focus right now is the battle, and saving her friend. 

"Atem, what's going on? What's with the duel?!?" Yugi asks me. 

I said, "Um, about that... Jemma's in a tough spot, so just hang tight. We promise to tell you everything later." 

He blinks in total confusion, "Uh... all right." 

Jemma said, "Nicole, I know this is going to be harder on me, fighting my best friend, and I have to do this. There is no other choice. 

I summon Sliverwing Blast Gandora, the Dragon of Light!" 

Yugi exclaimed, "Did she said, "Gandora?!?"

Nicole

I was in hanging in air, as I said, "Where am I? " 

I gasped as I noticed Jemma fighting in a duel!

"Jemma!" I said, "Help, I'm in here!" 

"She would never hear you in the Darkness. She has no chance of beating me!" I knew the voice well. 

"Marik! I knew something was fishy. You kidnapped me and using my body to seek revenge on Yugi! 

Leave Jemma out of this, she has nothing to do with your rivalry with Yugi and the gang!" 

Marik laughs, "You will see that Jemma Frank is the vessel. " 

Vessel? What he mean by that, unless-" 

"You're planning to use her as a vessel to destroy both dimensions, aren't you? Is that why you wanted Jemma to be here in this duel , to test out her battle style?

No way I'm going to let you get away with such a thing! Jemma, if you can hear me, defeat Marik!" 

Jemma

I can hear her voice. Nicole was really calling to me, the real Nicole is still there.

"Nicole, I hear you loud and clear. " I thought in my mind as Atem said, "Hey, Jemma, what's going on?

Is something you want to tell us?" 

I turn to the young Pharaoh, "Atem, you have to see the duel in action. I think I knew exactly what to do with my deck now." 

Mana said, "Excellent , Jemma! Now win this duel and we can get Yugi and Nicole out of this shadow game!" 

I nodded at the young sorceress , " You got it , Mana. " 

I activate Sliverwing Gandora's ability , Fire blast Glary attack!"  

The monster attacks as Nicole and Yugi were down to the ground , hard. 

"Oh, no!" Atem yells as laughter booms . 

"It's all fun and games, but this is not the end." 

"Who are you, show yourself!" I demanded, furious of someone hurting my friends. 

"We will meet sooner than you think. " The voice replies as Joey said, "Let's get back to my place." 

Tristan, Mai and Rebecca came towards us as Rebecca asks, "Hey, what happened in there? Jemma, you didn't get involved in a Shadow Game, did you?"

I nod, "Yeah, but it's weird though. I never thought I would experience it, and I think I know where the origin of my deck came from." 

We went into Joey's house, waiting for Yugi and Nicole to wake up. 

"They'll be fine. " Joey reassures me, but I got a bad feeling that I'm not ready of leaving this dimension yet, like something bad would happen.
