Chapter 10: Marik's back?!?

Nicole

I sat up, as Jemma said, "What you mean there is something we should know? Is something wrong?" 

I glanced at my friend. How could she be so calm and serious after what I had done in the battle, then again, it wasn't my fault. 

I looked at the King of Games who looks like he was exhausted , and he looked terrible. 

I said, "Yugi , I am so so sorry about kidnapping you and I made that terrible distortion between our dimensions. 

But it's not really me." 

Joey said, "What you talking about? I know you're a friend of Jemma's, but we dealt a lot of things too." 

I sighed, "Well, you heard of a possession, right?"

Atem said, "Yeah, we do, but what this have to do with you, Nicole? 

It seems weird coming from you." 

I sighed, "The truth was I was possessed from someone you know so well. It's the evil side of Marik." 

The room was in total silence, as if they couldn't believe what I just said. 

That was when everyone yelled, "What?!?" 

Jemma

I paced back and forth, as Yugi said, " Jemma, are you ok?"

  I replied, sarcastically, "Oh, let's see. I found out that I'm in an different dimension, with my own deck, meet you guys and the entire universe is at stake from Marik who you and Atem send to the Shadow Realm. 

Yeah, how am I completely calm after all of that?!?"

Rebecca said, curiously, "But I don't understand. From what I recalled from Joey, Atem and Yugi defeated the evil side of Marik in the Battle City Finals, didn't you?" 

Atem nods, "Yes, that is precisely what happened. During that duel, I didn't know that Yugi would be a bait for Marik's plan and nearly got ourselves out of that mess. " 

Nicole said, "He controlled my body, and I couldn't control it. He held me against my will, and I couldn't do anything about it.

On the duel in the Shadow Game, I saw you, Jemma. " 

I said, surprised, "Really? That would explain of how I can hear your voice. Nicole, 

It's not your fault, and besides, I would be a better duelist than you ever was." 

Nicole said, "Really, Frank, just because you save me, doesn't mean that you get all the credit for saving the world alone. 

I want to get revenge on Marik for taking control of me and getting me into this mess." 

Tristan said, "Whoa, take it easy, you guys. I know we're in a tough spot right now, but we have to be calm about this. 

We've dealt with the evil side of Marik before, and we'll defeat him and send you both back to your dimension safely. " 

Yugi said, "Tristan's right, besides you owe me one, and once this is all behind us, we can have a duel. " 

I begin to form a smile , as if knowing that Yugi accepted Nicole's forgiveness right away, and he is the King of Games after all. 

If there is anyone who knows Marik and his dueling tactics , it would be him.

"We have a lot of work to do." I said.

Yugi

I still couldn't believe that Jemma and Nicole is from another dimension! As Nicole and Jemma were talking about her deck, I was still overwhelmed. 

"Hey, you feel ok, Yugi?" I turn to see Mana , who was wearing a blue shirt and shorts. 

"Just confused about all of this. Does this feel weird , that you barely know someone? " 

She notices that I was talking about Jemma and Nicole. "Jemma is actually an amazing person , just like you and Atem are. 

Something tells me that she really wants to challenge herself, Yugi. She knows all about you, and in some way, she's afraid that she wouldn't live up to the both of you." 

I look at Jemma, as I said, "It's still shocking to me that she can duel. Do you see her deck personally?"

Tristan said, "If you talking about Jemma's deck, it's awesome! She really has the talent for dueling right up the bat. 

Her ace card is Sliverwing Blast Gandora." 

" Sliverwing Blast Gandora?" I took out my Gandora X card as Atem looks at it. 

"So, it seems your Gandora has evolved since our ceremonial match. " He said, which makes me jumped at his appearance. 

"Atem! You startled me! Wait a second, I'm not satisfied yet. How you were able to come back to the modern world?

Don't hide any secrets, Atem. We used to share the same body." 

Atem sighs, "I felt your spirit calling for help, Yugi. So, I did come back to your world to help, along with Mana's spell, we were able to go from the Modern world, and this spell has a cost." 

I ask, "What you mean? What's the cost?" 

Mana explains, "Once the spell has been casted, we can't go back to the afterlife. In some way, we are here for good." 

I was dumbstruck for a moment, then hug Atem. "You really mean it, Atem? You're not going to leave us?" 

Atem nods , "It's true." 

Jemma said, "As much I love this reunion, Yugi, you know Marik's evil side more than anyone. Can you fill us in on his dueling style?" 

"Happy to." I replied, now knowing that there is one thing I can do: Help Jemma and Nicole back to their dimension, and save the universe.
