Chapter 9: Origin of Jemma's Deck

Yugi

I woke up as Jemma, Rebecca, and the gang looked at the table. "It's kind of hard to believe this deck is powerful as Yugi's." Rebecca said.

Tristan said, "Don't forget that Jemma has Sliverwing Gandora as her ace . So, you figure out where you got this deck from?" 

"Yeah, it really came back to me , the memories that deck came back. 

The origin of this deck, it is really my own personal deck I've designed when I was 12 years old , and Dad must've kept it hidden from me." 

"You're kidding!?! You actually made that deck all by yourself? I never heard a duelist do that." Tristan said.

"Well , to be honest, I never thought of seeing it again after all these years. It seems like this deck came with me as if I was really destined to have it back. 

Although, I still don't have the slightest idea why Dad kept the teleportation device a secret and why I was sent here. " She sighs. 

Atem reassures her with a touch of her shoulder, "Don't worry, Jemma, I am sure things would work out in the end. 

I'm sure we'll find a way to bring you and Nicole back to your dimension." 

Wait, she's from another dimension?!?

I slipped out of the couch, as the gang was stunned to see me. 

"Yugi! " Te'a exclaimed, "You're awake!" 

I said, groaning, "Yeah, I guess. How long was I out?"

"Mostly the whole afternoon, but you deserve the rest." Atem reassures me but I was more surprised that he is here, in our world, instead of the afterlife, after he helped me defeat Diva.

"Atem, I'm still surprised that you came back. Why did you came back?" I ask. 

"About that... I think that you would be surprised even more when we tell you." Joey explains. 

Jemma looks at her friend who is still unconious from the Shadow Duel. 

It must been harder on her , considering that she had to fight against the person she cared about. I knew the feeling all too well, considering with being with Atem after all these years.

"Would she be all right? I mean, whoever harness her spirit must've taken a toll on her." Rebecca asks curiously.

Jemma replies, "I don't know. The strangest thing happen during the duel though, I can hear her before I take out her life points." 

"Really? So, if someone was really controlling her, why now? What does it really mean?" T'ea asks . 

"I really hope that it's not someone from our past. It would be really spooky just to think about it." Duke shivers. 

Jemma chuckles at him, "Duke Devlin being scared? I never thought it would be possible." 

Duke said, sarcastically, "Ha, ha." 

I was frustrated as I yell, "Someone please tell me! "

I have to admit, Yugi waking up was something I never saw coming. I know this is a surprise for me, considering this is my first time interacting with the King of Games himself. 

"Awe, com'on, Jemma, introduce yourself." Tristan encourages me. 

I bow in respect, "Hi, My name is Jemma Frank. I'm sixteen years old and I'm not from this dimension, but I'm from an alternative Domino City." 

"Wow, your hometown is Domino City too?" Yugi asks, which I rub my head in embarrassment. 

"Yeah, I guess I forgot to mention it to you guys. Sorry about that." I apologize as Joey slaps me on the back, "It's all good, Jemma. 

You really did your Deck some justice, I give you that. It's like you're a pro with it." 

I rubbed my head, blushing, "Uh... thanks, Wheeler." 

I turn to Yugi, "Do you remember the day you were captured?" 

He nods, "How could I forget? That's the day Joey and I were in a battle until these thugs of Nicole grabbed me. Why?"

Joey spoke up , "That the same moment, Jemma arrived from her dimension with her father's teleportation device. 

Her dad, is a scientist , Dr. Frank, made it, and that's how she ended up here in our dimension, unfortunately, he didn't exactly tell her how to get back ." 

Yugi blinks , trying to digest everything, as I look at my deck. I still couldn't believe Dad actually hid my deck from me, the one I had made from scratch. 

Now I know how it came from, I have to figure out who is behind all of this, and what they really after. 

Joey sees how much I was worried, as he said, "Don't worry, we'll figure things out. I have an idea. Let's duel, just to spare the time." 

"A duel, huh? You honestly think you can beat me, Joey? You seen me in action, I don't know if you can handle it. "      

Yugi asks, "Is Jemma really good? I mean, I never seen her duel before." 

Rebecca said, "Oh, yeah. She even beaten me with the Black Ritual . She really is a master." 

I rubbed my head, "Oh, c'mon, beck. It was all the luck of the draw I guess. Besides, you weren't that bad yourself. I thought I was all done for until I had that card. " 

Suddenly, Nicole said, "Marik , you can't-" 

She wakes to see me with Yugi. 

"Oh, Nicole, are you ok? I was completely worried about you!" I ask worried, but she seems that something is bothering her.  I bend down to her level, as she looked so concerned and serious after the Shadow Duel.

"Jemma... there's something you should know, and i think you wouldn't like what i am about to say."  She replied.
