Yugi

It has been a week since Jemma rescued Nicole from Marik's possession, and she seems to be focused on how to defeat him.

Although it still kind of hard to believe for me to adjust that they are from another dimension, an alterative Domino City.

Rebecca said, "Maybe if you strengthen your deck with a spell, Sliverwing Gandora would have all the boost it needs. "

Nicole sees me as she walks up to me. "Hey, Yug. You seemed distracted . Is something bothering you?"

"How can you tell? " I ask, amazed by her reaction. She chuckles at me as if this wasn't a total shock to her.

"I have seen countless times of how Jemma could be distracted by something that comes to her mind.

Besides, Yugi, she really looks up to you. You're her inspiration to be a duelist, and she even dragged me into Duel Monsters for crying out loud.

We can read out each other's emotions, and wither it is about someone close to either one of us, we can talk it out.

You seemed to be in total shock about Jemma and I coming from an different dimension, and you were worried about Jemma, right?"

I blink, "Uh, yeah. I guess you figured me out. I am worried , even though we just met. "

Nicole said, grinning, "If I known anything , you have a crush on Jemma."

I sweat nervously, "No, you got it all wrong! I'm not in love with her, I mean, we're just friends, that's all it is to it."

Nicole said, not convinced, "Suree..."

Jemma asks, "What you guys talking about?"

"No-Nothing!" I said to her, as I pushed Nicole aside.

Jemma

Every minute I spent here in this dimension, the more determined I get. I wanted to return home, but I can't .

Geez, Dad, you could've given me an instructional manel of how to get the teleportation device working again?

As I was frustrated with building my deck to help me prepare a duel against Marik, if I ever encounter him, someday.

"You still up, huh?" I turn to see Joey who has a lamp.

"Couldn't sleep. " I admitted sheepishly as Joey puts the lamp down to an nearby table.

"Hey, I just want to say thanks." I stare at the Duelist with a confused look. What does Joey mean by that?

"Why you thanking me for? I didn't do anything that great to be honest." I replied to the duelist , but he shook his head.

"Are you kidding? Jemma, you literally saved the King of Games, my best friend from Marik, and you took him on with a Shadow Duel!

I would be absolutely nuts of trying to challenged Marik again."

I chuckled at my friend's words, but I still am worried. What does Marik want from me, and what is his plan?

"You know that this isn't going to be an easy task ." I said, as Joey shrug, "Things never goes easy as you want them to be.

Take Atem for example, the guy literally erased his own memories to save the world from Zorc, and been living inside an ancient Pyramid item for 800 years until Yugi assembles it back together.

Their journey together wasn't always that easier for both of them. I just know that no matter what lies ahead, we always have your back, even if we're far apart."

As I digest of Joey's words to settle in, I knew that he was right. I just have to work harder than ever if I get Marik out of this dimension, and hopefully that maybe by defeating him, would lead Naomi and I to be back home.

I said, "Thanks, Joey. "

"Hey, what friends for?" He joked.

Nicole

I overheard Joey and Jemma's conversation. I kind of see how Jemma must've felt in getting Joey and the others involved in this.

I guess that I felt responsible. I mean, I literally let the evil side of Marik take control of my body, like a puppet!

I sighed, as I couldn't sleep either. I creeped out of the window to get my mind cleared off.

Suddenly, I hear a voice, "I figure you would do something reckless."

I turned to see Yugi who was grinning at me, as he ask , "Mind if I join you? I needed some fresh air, and Duke really snores really loudly."

We walked together in silence, as if we had nothing to talk about at first. Then Yugi said, "How you feeling? I mean, I know that you felt responsibly for being controlled by Marik. I don't blame you."

I sigh, "It's just I almost lost my best friend in a Shadow Duel! I also let a villain take control of my body and it seems like a total dream that I thought I need to wake up from."

The King of Games chuckle silently , as I look at him. How could he be so calm in a time like this, the dimensions, and the entire universe is at stake?

"How can you and the others do it? How could you be so calm about everything has been happening lately?

Does it bother you?"  I ask curiously as the duelist rubbed his head in total embarrassment,

"Honestly, It does happen all the time. Especially with Duel Monsters come to life, anything is possible and we couldn't bare not to do anything about it.

We just kind of rolled with it."

I was truly amazed by his actions, like he was totally calmer than any person I ever met, other than Jemma.

"You and Atem act like brothers, do you? I kind of felt jealous and envy of you." I admitted.

"Yeah, Atem and I didn't start out as friends at first, he thought that he can do anything all by himself, only thinking about winning at all cost." He explains of his journey with Atem.

"Really? How you changed his mind, what changed?" I ask curiously.

"Well, I guess by being myself. When he saw how much I was capable of, he and I became instant friends, and our journey together , make me who I am today.

My point is, just be yourself. You have friends who would support on any decision you make."

I whistled, "Wow, I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would actually got advice from the King of Games himself!

Man, my friends back in my dimension would absolutely freaked out when I tell them about all of this.

Thanks, Yug."

Yugi smiles a bit, "Hey, if you need someone to talk to, I'll listen." He replies.

But I do begin to wonder, would I be able to stop Marik from trying to possess my best friend and try to take over the Dimensions?
