Chapter Four

Nagpakawala ng malalim na buntong hininga si Maxene. It was Valentine's Day yet she was working. Miguel invited her but instead she insisted him to join her in Lovapalooza. She was making sure everything was okay.

"Maxene!"

"S-sir!"

"Okay naba yung food ng guests natin?''

"But sir, it wasn't my assignment-"

"I told you to make sure everything's okay!"

"y-yes sir Tres ..."

Agad niyang kinumpirma ang caterer na magke-cater sa event nila.

Maxene's broad smile never left her face. All the hard work was worth it.

"Hi darling!"bati sa kanya sabay halik sa kanyang pisngi. "Happy Valentines." Bulong nito sa kanya. Parang kinikiliti ang tainga niya sa mainit na hininga nito. "I love you Max."

"I love you-"

"My! My! Maxene, you are so beautiful!" si Cess!

"Mas maganda kayo Ma'am" sabi niya. "Ma'am-pakilala"

"Maxene, hindi mo ba ako ipapakilala sa gwapong kasama mo?"

"Ma'am I was about to do that-anyway Ma'am Princess, this is my boyfriend Miguel Salas," paunang simula niya. "Migz, this is my boss' girlfriend, Princess Anne Ramirez."

"Oh! Hi there Miguel!" bati ni Princess at umabrishe dito.

"Please to meet you ma'am."

"Cess na lang." sabi ni Princess at inabot ang kamay ni Miguel.

"Princess, you're there!"

'Tres! Oh my! Meet Miguel Salas, our Maxene's boyfriend."

"We've met before Princess."

"That's.. that's very nice."

"Maxene, we are needed at the back stage. Princess, Miguel, we will leave you for a while."

"Sure! I will keep Miguel entertained" sabi ni Princess.

"Migz..."

"Okay lang Max."

CELLPHONE RINGING.

"Ay may nag-text. Wait lang." sabi niya at dinukot ang cellphone sa bulsa.

'When are you going to pay me again?'

"Hay..."

"Sino yun?"

"Treize John Montez."

"Huh? Hindi kita tinext!" gulat na pahayg nito. Hinid niya mapigilang hindi matawa. Pero napahagalpak siya ng tawa. "what's funny?"

"You made a joke."

"I did not."

"Yes you did. Bakit mo ako itetext gayong magkasama naman tayo."

"But I am Treize John."

"You're not. Kasi ikaw si Tres-wait anong last name mo nga?"

"Montez."

"You've got to be kidding me."

Parehong natahimik silang dalawa.
