Moving out

Emma's (POV)
We got to Ruby's and Henry ran to the door. Ruby unlocked the door and we walked in and her place was pretty big. When we walked inside Henry ran upstairs and I heard the door close. "Wow it's almost like he's been here before" I said. "Yeah actually he has" she said. "What" I asked. "Yeah Neal used to bring all the time when he had to work so I just gave him the room upstairs" she said. I nodded my head a bit and we sat down on the couch. "I'm sorry I should've told you earlier" she said. "It's fine it just goes to show that Neal never told me shit" I said. "I'm sorry" she said. "It's fine" I said. "You want a beer" Ruby asked. "Yeah sure" I said. She got off the couch and went over to the fridge and I heard her crack open the beers. She came over and handed me the beer and came and sat down on the couch. I took a sip of the beer and then my phone started buzzing I put the beer in my other hand and took my phone out of my pocket. When I looked I saw it was my Mom. I flipped my phone over and threw it on the table. "Who's that" Ruby asked. "My mom" I said. I leaned back on the couch and l took another sip of my beer. I heard my phone buzzing on the table and saw that it was Mamma this time. "Goddanm it" I said. I picked up my phone and hit the accept button. "What Mamma" I said in an annoyed tone. "Alright watch your tone" she said. "Well maybe if you and Mom would tell me shit I wouldn't use this tone" I said angrily. "Are you coming home for dinner" She asked. "No why would you even remotely think that I would come home for dinner" I said angrily. I felt Ruby put her hand on my back I looked over at her and she mouthed the words calm down. I nodded my head a little. "Emma you can't stay at Ruby's forever" Mamma said. "I know that I'm only staying for one night after that I'll find somewhere else to go" I said. "Emma you need to come home" mamma said. "No Mamma" I said. I hung up the phone and leaned back on the couch. "Hey you know you don't have to leave" Ruby said. "What do you mean" I asked. "You can always move in" she said. "Really" I said. "Yeah" She said. "Cool" I said. "Do you want to go get your stuff" she asked. "Um if you're okay to go now then yeah. But we can go tomorrow" I said. "Well if you wanna get out that bad it's better that we go now" she said. "You're right" I said. "Okay" she said. We got up off the couch and she went and grabbed her car keys. "Henry" I yelled. He came out of his room and looked down at me over the banister. "Yeah" he asked. "Come on we're going to grandmas" I said. "Okay" he said. He ran downstairs and we walked to Ruby's car.

Stef's (POV)
We were in the middle of dinner and then the doorbell rang. I got up and went over to the door. When I opened the door I saw Emma and Ruby standing at the door. "Emma"I said. She pushed past me and went straight upstairs. I followed her upstairs and she closed the door and locked it. "Emma" I said knocking on the door. "Leave me alone" she said. "Come on Emma" I said. "No Mom I'm done" she said. I saw that the bathroom door was open and I realized that the bathroom is connected to Mariana and Emma's room. I went into the bathroom and the bedroom door was open so I walked in. "Emma" I said. She turned around and looked at me. "What are you doing" I asked. "I'm moving out Mom I can't keep living here" she said. "I'm sorry my love" I said. "Mom just don't please" she said. She threw her backpack around her shoulder and she took the box of her parents stuff and went downstairs. "Emma" I yelled. She didn't turn around so I just followed her down the stairs. She went out the front door and I saw her put her stuff in Ruby's car she walked past me and grabbed some more of her clothes and put them in the car. She went back inside and I followed behind her. "Emma are you leaving" Mariana asked. "Yeah" Emma said. She went inside and hugged everyone but me and Lena. She walked out the front door and I saw ruby take off down the street.

Ruby's (POV)
I sped down the street and slowed down as soon as we were far enough away from Emma's house. I saw her check her phone and then look back at Henry. "Hey kid when we get home you gotta go bed okay" Emma said. "Okay" Henry said. She turned back around and looked out the window. I reached out and grabbed her hand. "You okay" I asked. "Yeah" She said. We pulled up to the driveway of my house and got out of the car. We grabbed Emma's stuff and went inside we put everything by the door and Henry went upstairs to his room. "Want another beer" I asked Emma. "Sure but just be careful" she said. "Why" I asked walking over to the fridge. "Cause a few more of those and I might just have my hands all over you" she said. I cracked open the beers as I blushed. I went over to her and handed her the beer from behind I leaned down and whispered in her ear. "Maybe I want your hands all over me" "oh really" she asked. "Yeah" I said. "I'll keep that in mind" she said. "Good" I said. "Alright So this house looks big but it's not there's only two bedrooms. So you can sleep with me or you can take the couch" I said. "Whatever you feel comfortable with" she said. "Well I think you should come sleep with me but it's up to you" I said trying to convince her to sleep in the same bed with me. "Sure" she said. "Mom" I heard Henry yell from upstairs. Emma put her beer on the table and ran upstairs.

Emma's (POV)
"Mom" we heard Henry yell. He sounded really scared so I put my beer down and ran upstairs as fast as I could I found his room and I opened the door. I went over to his bed and sat next to him and I ran my hand threw his brown hair. "Hey are you okay buddy" I asked. "I had a nightmare" he said. "It's okay I'm here" I said. He wrapped his arms around me and I did the same and kissed his head. "You're okay" I said. "Hold on let me grab something" I said. I headed towards the door and saw Ruby standing in the doorway. "Stay with him for a sec please" I said. "Okay" she said. I went downstairs and grabbed the box of my mom and dad's stuff and pulled out my old night light and dream catcher. I went back upstairs to Henry's room. "Okay maybe this will help" I said. "This is my old night light. When I was your age I always had nightmares so my parents bought me this and this" I said holding up the dream catcher and night light. "Here" I said. I plugged in the night light by his bed and hung the dream catcher on his window. "That should help" I said. I started to walk away and I felt him grab my arm. "Wait can you guys just sit with me until I fall asleep" he asked. "Yeah sure" I said. I sat down on the bed and ruby did the same. He laid his head on my chest and I put my arm around him. About five minutes went by and he was asleep. I slowly moved his head onto his pillow and brought the blanket just below his chin. I kissed his forehead and I walked out the door with Ruby. I closed the door slowly and walked downstairs with Ruby. "That was impressive" Ruby said. "What" I asked. "He fell asleep in a matter of five minutes" she said. "So" I said. "Whenever he spends the night here and has a nightmare it takes him hours to fall asleep" she said. "Well I am his Mom" I said. That's the first time I had actually admitted that. "That's true" she said. I took my last sip of beer and got up to throw it away. "I'm gonna call it a night" I said. "Yeah me too" she said. We walked upstairs and into Ruby's room. She took her shirt off leaving her in a tank top and I took my jacket off leaving me in a t shirt. We both got under the covers and I heard Ruby say something. "What's wrong" I asked. "It's just cold and this blanket isn't enough" she said. "Here" I said. I scooted closer to her and put my arms around her. She scooted closer to me and we both drifted off to sleep slowly.
