When I walked into class on Wednesday morning, I wanted to turn around and run back home. Why, you wonder? Because a) I had no makeup on, b) I'm wearing the ugliest clothes alive, and c) guess who was in my class?
"Are you okay?" Cameron asked when I sat down at a vacant table.
There we go.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just tired." I replied, waving him off and pulling out a textbook.
"You look wrecked." He commented.
"You're just full of wonderful compliments today, aren't you?" I retorted, looking at him. "I said I'm just tired."
"I know you've had no sleep." He said, joining me.
"How do you know that I haven't slept?" I asked, tilting my head a little.
"We feel each others emotions... I couldn't sleep because I knew you were crying. All night, non stop. The pain you were feeling was heart-wrenching."
I sunk into my seat, "I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm stressed. A lot is going on right now."
"I know." Cameron grabbed a hold of my hand. "But if there wasn't complications it wouldn't be fun, would it?"
I smiled, "No, it wouldn't."
"We're in this together."
"We're in this together." I repeated, looking at him and smiling.
"Promise me you'll call me if you ever feel like that again."
"I promise." I nodded.
"You do know that I'm the only one who can make you feel better, right?"
"You are?"
Cameron nodded, "I am. Hence why you're so calm and relaxed right now."
I sighed, "I just wish this could be easier."
He kissed my temple, whispering, "Me too."

"My dress is so beautiful, Sam. Here's a picture, look." Olivia said, handing me her phone that showed a picture of her in the dress. It was a light pink dress, that reached just above her kneecaps.
"It's beautiful." I said, handing her phone back and taking a drink of water.
I'd asked Olivia to take me out after school to detox me from all of the drama going on back at home, so she decided to take me to our favourite café. I told her everything I knew, as she is part of my pack and she'll find out eventually. She described the situation as 'a bit of a pickle' which made me laugh - she always knows how to lighten the mood.
"What about your dress? What does it look like?" She asked me, drinking her orange juice.
"Mum said no one is allowed to see it until Friday, even you-"
"But Jace has seen it." She whined. "That's not fair!"
"Tell that to my mum."
"I'd rather not." She said, and I laughed.
"What time is it?" I blurted out, checking my phone. "Crap, it's almost six. The pack meeting starts in ten minutes."
"Let's go." Olivia said, grabbing her things and throwing her juice in the rubbish. I did the same, and followed her out of the café.
