"There you are! Where the hell have you been?" Olivia asked as me and Cameron entered the living room, her arms crossed and her eyebrows knotted.

"Just for a walk..." I said, checking my watch. "We're on time, anyways."

"Actually, you're three minutes late." She retorted, eying Cameron.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Can we just get this over with? My mum expects me to be ready by half five and if we're not ready in time, you're the one that's going to be dealing with her."

"My point exactly!" She exasperated. "I'll meet you upstairs, I just have to grab a couple of things from down here."

"Okay." I nodded, turning around and kissing Cameron on the cheek before heading upstairs with a light smile on my face.

As soon as I made it to my bedroom, I heard Olivia say: "I'm watching you." to Cameron, and I could imagine her giving him the hawk eyes she usually gives me when she's skeptical about something.

I looked around my bedroom, sighing at the state it was in. Olivia's bags were covering the majority of the floor, clothes hanging over the top of them and random makeup products scattered across the room. To think that she does this everyday stresses me out.

"Oh, yeah... about this mess..." Olivia said once she'd entered my bedroom. "I couldn't find my curlers, so..."

"You're such a messy person it makes me want to consider our friendship." I stated, manoeuvring through the rubbish to get to my bed.

"Harsh."

"One of my best traits." I nodded, smiling. "So where's Jace?"

"I think he left to get ready. He has to get there early, apparently. Georgia's orders." Olivia said, fetching a makeup bag.

"Obviously." I rolled my eyes at the thought of my mum barking orders at Jace.

"Ready?" Olivia held a hair bobble out for me to take.

I smiled sarcastically, taking the bobble off of her. "Sure."

"And my job here is done." Olivia stated, putting curlers down on the table and looking at my hair. "Perfecto."

"I was perfect before." I mumbled sarcastically, a look of hurt on my face. I only lasted a couple of minutes before I cracked into a smile and Olivia started laughing.

"You wish, horse face." She joked, playing with my hair.

"That was rude." I said. "Never insult the birthday girl,"

"Whatever."

"What time is it?" I asked, searching for my phone.

Olivia checked her watch. "Five past five."

"Oh god. I need to get into my dress." I looked up at her. "Like, now?"

"Right!" Olivia exclaimed, throwing her hands on her hips. "Uh... where is it?"

"I'll get it." I said, standing up and walking over to the wardrobe and opening it up. Muffled by clothes, I said: "It's near the back."

"Whoa! Move out of the way!" Olivia shouted, pushing me out of my wardrobe.

"What was that for?" I argued.

She turned around to look at me. "It took me an hour to do your hair and makeup. I'm not letting you ruin it."
