Some Assembly Required

I lay awake looking at the ceiling above my bed wrapping my brain around everything that has occurred in the past 48 hours. I got my brother back after him being deemed dead for a year by the entire world, I traveled through a wormhole to a strange castle, and I found out that I am part of a team that is supposed to liberate the universe from the guy who took my brother. I let out a sigh and got out of bed and walked to the case in my room that held my armor.

I quickly stripped out of the clothes I was wearing to sleep in and then got into the armor. Once I had put it on I put my hair into the same high pony tail it was in yesterday, then put on both of my belts. After that I did everything else I needed to do then I exited my room, I began to aimlessly wander the halls of the castle not knowing what time it is but I have a feeling it is around sun rise so Shiro is most likely awake as well. I begin to walk to his door when I hear a crash coming from the hallway leading to the bridge. My interest become peeked so I decide to not see my brother. I began to walk down the hallway and I came to the door of the bridge and it opened for me. I saw Coran and Allura working on the control panel at the front of the large room.

"Good morning."

"OW." I winced as I heard the loud bang.

Allura stood and walked over to me giving me a warm smile as Coran was rubbing the back of his head.

"Sorry for scaring you Coran, I didn't mean to I swear."

He just nodded his head then went back to working.

"What are you doing up so early Olivia?" Allura asked me.

I rubbed the back of my neck with my left hand as I let out a nervous giggle.

"Well, since my brother disappeared I have not slept a lot. I usually only sleep for two hours a night and I also wake up early so I can do what I need to do."

"It's a good habit. Well not the barely sleeping part."

I let out a small cough then walk past Allura to Coran.

"So what are you guys up to?"

"Oh we are about to test the alarms to see if they are working properly." Coran said to me while his head was under the control panel.

"We also are going to see how quickly the Paladins respond. We were also going to see how quickly you respond as well but, there is really no point in testing you since you are already with us." Allura said as she walked besides me with her hands clasped in front of her.

"Well I can tell you right now that my brother will be the first here and will be the only one that is ready to fight, and Lance will be the last." I say as I cross my arms over my chest and let out a slight giggle.

"Well." I uncross my arms and Allura and I turn to Coran who is holding a tiny remote thing in his hand."Let us see if you are right number 5."

"What did you just call me?" They both ignore me as the alarms begin to go off.

"Everybody up! Zarkon's attacking!" She yells into the PA system. She looks to me and I smile.

"The Castle's about to be destroyed!" I yelled sounding as distressed as I could.

"Go,go,go! We need Voltron now!" I looked to Allura and gave her a thumbs up and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Hurry! We can't survive much longer!" She yells desperately into the PA system. I turned to the doors when she finished and began to see who would come through first.

"You've got to sell it a little bit more." Coran said to Allura and I. He brought the remote thingy to his mouth and began to act like we were being attacked and he completely failed at it. As he was babbling my brother ran into the bridge. I elbowed Allura and she turned to see my brother and the others running in behind him.
