Not everything in life will turn out the way you want it . A child with a bright future won't always make their parents proud , the good guy won't always win , and the girl won't always get the super hot guy who owns a motorcycle .

Don't think I'm taking this personal , cause I'm not . I'm just saying that life is full of shit , look how it turned out for my mom .

I'm sure she thought she would be happily married with my dad right now , but instead , her man got stolen , and her child got taken away .

I dont even get to see her , ever . I don't even remember anything about her , I don't even have pictures .

I'm kinda sad she didn't try a bit harder for me .

It sucks when you dont have a mother , and it's not like Katy could offer me any motherly advice , she's not even a motherly figure to her own son . So what good could she do for me ?

Well , let's just see how that turns out cause she's talking to me right now .

" ... not like you to behave like this " she sighs and goes to sit next to my father . I'm seated in the chair opposite of them .

" Is there something going on at school I should know about? , .. trying to set books on fire , getting detention , and you were following bad company " my dad added .

" The principal told me that he is bad news , stay away from him " I just nod my head to everything he's saying , I've found that these lectures end quicker when you agree with them .

" Oh Victor , leave her be , what if she has a crush on the guy and wants to impress him ? ..." wait a minute , I do not have a crush on anyone  .

" Or maybe she could just be acting out she needs some attention "

I scoff at her last comment . Just then Dominick walks in .

" Since when did you become a shrink , mom ? " I could see anger blazing in his eyes . He came and stood beside where I was seated .

" And if she needed any attention it would definitely not be yours , cause if attention was a necessity , she would be dead right now "

" Don't be ridiculous .." Katy began but Dominick cut her off .

" Shut up , all you ever do is talk " he shouts , Katy looks a bit taken a back . Not expecting her son to react that way .

" Watch your mouth boy , how dare you speak to your mother like that ?" Dad gets up off the chair .

Dominick laughs . " Well I guess I have a whore for a mother then "

Before I could register what he said Dad was already throwing his fist in Dominick's face . It landed right on his cheek . My brother did not retaliate .

He just laughed again . When I looked around and say how glossy his eyes were and realised he was slurring his words . That's when I knew he was drunk .

I rushed over to him and held on to him so he didn't fall .

I started shouting at my father .

" Are you crazy ?!!"

Katy looked shocked by her husbands actions , she started walking in our direction , staring apologetically at her son . With arms stretched out she was about to hold him but she jumped back at Dominicks raised voice.
