This world is so twisted,
If life's a code -- then it's encrypted,
Listen up 'cause the truth is hard to hear,
Gunshots echo in the night and they tell us there's nothing to fear,

Children traumatised before they even start shaving,
Craving an escape from the hate and a way to change their fate -- wanting some food on their plate,

Some trying to turn over a new leaf with the only motivation belief even though in life there's hardly any relief,
Everybody has a hope, everybody's got a dream -- it's just harder than it seems when you try make it a reality because everything tests your morality or your fragility or your ability,

So you try become something you're not just to get by,
Wings are clipped -- now you can't fly,
Hold up a second have we lost the plot?
This world is hungry and cold and to survive we must be bold and give it everything that we've got -- we've got to take a stand,
Make an impact so we don't let ourselves fall flat because everyone dreams of glory, but --

Who lives, Who dies, Who tells your story

I want to leave behind a legacy,
Leave something for someone someday to remember me,
I want my name in headlights and people to remember the words that I write,

Feels like life is a war but together let's stand in awe as those who strive for a better life give it their all,

There comes a time where we all need to rise up,
Every woman, every man needs to rise up,
No we don't have a plan but we do what we can,
Putting down a line here and there cause we write in our spare time,

Dreaming of success with the hope to someday say, "That'll be mine",
No one wants to live in purgatory but,

Who lives, Who dies, Who tells your story,

And I'll be rolling in dough when I get that cash,
That'll be the moment the haters will try to kiss my ass, but I think I'll pass while I spit that flow, Always trying to improve myself -- always trying to grow,
When you're down at the bottom, upwards is the only way to go,

Word after word mostly rhyming,
Even in the darkest times look for the silver lining,

This world is our territory,
We're the ones who decide Who lives, Who dies, Who tells our story.
