Racism

How am I meant to love a country that doesn't love me,
Filled with hatred and racism now that I see — just 'cause of the colour of my skin — how can this be the world that I'm living in?

Americans dealing with panics towards the Latinos and Hispanics 'cause they thinking that they can only work in casinos or be selling cappuccinos,

Club shootings in the area,
Like Gam B said "This is America",

And why's there deportation of immigrants 'cause I mean — they get the job done — we all have the same dream to live under the same sun,

We all work hard every day to get money for the bills we gotta to pay but we get angry when we hear people say this isn't our country,
If that's the case then nobody has a country to call their own because that's what colonisation is — fast forward and that's what our civilisation is,

Vikings from Scandinavia, Romans from Rome not Romania,
Don't tell me I don't belong — I was born and raised here — this is my home,
I'm gonna stay here.

A/N
Not really a political poem, but still a serious topic. I didn't say half of the things that have happened from racism and discrimination around the world; apartheid in south Africa, hunting of aborigines in Australia and the rest.
Please don't be offended, and I apologise for how short it is.

PS: Gam B= Childish Gambino
