Clary kicked Jace's foot which was hanging over the bed slightly. "Wake up" she said as she pulled her jeans up and fastened her weapons belt onto it, she looked up at Jace who just rolled over and groaned into the pillow, wiggling his bottom at Clary. She watched his arse as he mumbled something into the pillow and she snapped out of her day dream. "What?" She said as he lifted his head slightly. "I said what time is it? And you were totally checking out

My ass" he said smiling at her as he sat up. "It's half six and i am allowed to look at your ass, were married remember" she said wiggling her fingers at him. "Turn around a minute then" he said and she frowned, "what it's only fair" he said and she rolled her eyes but turned around anyway, before she could spin around she felt arms wrap around her waist from behind and soft lips on her neck. "We could stay another hour" he said hopefully and she smiled, she loved winding him up and with the rate of this he was going to have to take a cold shower before they left. But she wanted to see how far she could take it. She pulled herself forward making him stumble behind her, she turned around and pushed him back until he was lying on the bed looking up at her, she smiled and slid on top of him so she was sat straddling his waist. She slowly kissed his neck and then his forehead and his cheekbone, each time he gasped and thrust forward, wanting more.... Wanting more, she pulled away and dived up off the bed before she was pulled into him. "We can't" she said as she picked up the suitcase and struggled towards the door, "why?" He groaned like a five year old pleading for candy, which made her smile, it was nice to know someone could have this effect on him. "Because i want to see Jake" she said with a smile, "and" she added happily, "today is four weeks its the first scan day" and with that she walked out the door leaving a panting Jace on the bed looking at her with awe.

"Mommy" Jake screamed as she put the bag down in the entrance to the penhallows, Jace pushed past her carefully and picked up the suitcase, as soon as Jake saw him he stopped running towards Clary and just dived at Jace "daddy!" He screamed as he dived into the air and smashed straight into Jace, usually he would of caught him but because he was carrying the suitcase, they both collapsed to the ground with a thud. Clary smiled at them both and shook her head as she walked over to them, she was about to lift Jake off of Jace when a hand grabbed her arm and she was pulled on top of them by Jace. "Mommy" Jake giggled as Jace began to tickle him, "your on your own on this one buddy" Clary said as he began to giggle louder, Clary was smiling until she realised that Jace had let of Jake who leapt to his feet and was starting toward her, his hand grasped hers and he pulled her down closer to him as he began to tickle her, "sto-" she managed to get out before she started laughing again. Going on down here?" Mayrse asked as she appeared at the bottom of the stairs. "Jake what are you-" but she stopped as soon as she saw Jace and Clary on the floor with a giggling bubbly five year old stood a little distance away. "Your back!" Maryse said as she rushed over to help Clary to her feet. "You can't go rolling around on the floor in your state Clary" she said and then cut of when she looked over at Jake, "what stwate" Jake said with a look of confusion. "Umm" Jace began but Clary cut him off, "we will tell you later, me and daddy have to pop out again but we will be back soon, why don't you show everyone how to work your trains?" She said hoping to distract him, which worked. "Ok" he said as he bound back up the steps screaming for Simon. "Where are you going?" Maryse asked and to Clary's surprise Jace's smile widened, "i wanted to see the baby, so were going for a what did you call it? A scan?" Jace asked as he turned to Clary, "yeah and were gonna be late" she said as she picked up her shoe that had fallen off and she slipped it back on, "oh" Maryse said as she smiled slightly, looking a bit uncomfortable standing with them, "well i better be going shall i, don't want Jake to wake amy" she said as she winked at Jace and slid up the steps silently. "Well that was normal" Clary said as Jace threw the suitcase on the sofa. "As normal as our family gets i'm afraid" he said as he pulled her towards the door, she could tell he was excited.

"So this is the foot and this is the head?" Jace asked the doctor for what must of been the seventh time, "umm yes sir" he said and then pointed at the dot in the corner of the screen, "and that is it's hand" he said as he slipped the cold metal along Clary's stomach, "her hand" Jace corrected with a smile, she didn't think he would be this happy with a girl, "how did you guess that mr.herondale? It's too early to tell" the doctor said and now that Clary had been in the shadow-hunting world for 7 years it seemed like a stupid thing to say. "Just a guess" Jace said smiling at Clary. She had never seen him so happy, "do you want me to print this out for you?" The doctor asked as he turned to Jace. "Yes!" He said almost

Immediately, as the doctor disappeared through the door to fetch a copy, Jace smiled at Clary as she pulled her shirt down, "did that feel weird?" He asked with a lop sided smile, "no" she said as she sat up, "it was cold though" she said shivering slightly. She looked up at the screen properly and smiled at the image it had frozen on, it was early on so the shape didn't really look like anything, but that didn't matter. This was Clary's little girl, "it's our baby girl" Jace said saying what she had been thinking. "She is so small and fragile" Jace said frowning at the image. "But she's ours" he said thoughtfully, "she's our creation" he said as the smile on his face widened, "i hope Jake sticks up for her" Clary said as she stood up, "of course he will" Jace Said as though she was being stupid, "he is his farther's son and we herondales are gentlemanly" he said wrapping his arm around her waist, "how long until i can feel a kick?" He asked with a smile, "depends how feisty she is" Clary said jokingly which made Jace laugh, "she is your daughter so my bet is very" he said as he kissed her neck teasingly. "No love bites in the doctors office" she said slightly pushing him, "but there my favourite type of love bites" he groaned into her ear. "Not even one?" He asked as he bent his head down to her neck again, "no" she Said, "not even one" she Said trying to push his head up but he was already sucking at her neck, "ass hole" she said smiling as he raised his head, "i never said i wasn't" he said with a smile, a perfect white mouthed smile which reached the edges of his eyes, this was probably the happiest they were going to get and after the news she was trying so hard to forget about yesterday, she knew she would need to remember this for a while, tomorrow she would have To tell the clave, and they would determine what happened next, so she let herself get lost in the moment, she was a mother and a well loved wife with a loving family, nothing could get better.
