August| Rosalie's POV

"When I saw you there,

Sitting all alone in the dark acting like you didn't have a care,

I knew right then, that you'd be mine, and we'd be dancing the whole damn night right,

Ooh, oh baby, I just want you to dance with me tonight,

So come on, ooh, oh baby,

I just want you to dance with me tonight."

Reluctantly, I stretched my hand out from under my warm and fuzzy blanket in attempt to find my phone that is currently blasting Olly Murs. My fingers glided over my nightstand next to my bed.. alarm clock, no.. keys, no.. phone, yes. Any residing feelings of a grumpy morning mood faded away as I saw what caused my phone to ring so early in the morning, or more specifically who.

One push on the green button and his voice had me smiling instantly, "Good morning Ms. Garcia, how are you at this time of day?"

I decided to give him a hard time, "Mr. Lee, I was doing just fine in dreamland before someone chose to wake me up at," I pulled back my phone to check the time before continuing, "6:30 am in the morning! And might I add that this person knows that I value my sleep, like all normal people do."

"Aw, come on Ro! You know that I wouldn't disrupt your sleep unless it was important.." I held back a laugh while I pictured him saying that with a small pout, I've missed him so much.

Sitting up, I scoffed, "Yeah right, Noah! Some of the things that you've claimed to be important were far from it."

"Okay, so maybe once or twice.."

"Noah."

"Four or five?"

"Noah."

A small chuckle came out from the other end of the line, "Alright, alright.. multiple times. This time though, it's super important. Don't you remember what today is?"

I drummed my fingers on the top of my night stand, humming and thinking, "Hm.. Someone's birthday? A holiday? No, wait. It's Monday, the day which no one ever looks forward to. Except for me, since it's when my favorite shows are on!"

"Rosalie!"

He never calls me that more than once unless he's angry, impatient, or really serious.

Sometimes this is the cue to one of our rare, senseless arguments. I sighed, "Relax, I know what today is. You come home today!"

A sigh of relief, "Finally. I was beginning to think that you actually didn't remember."

"You honestly think that I would forget the day that my best friend returns from his lengthy vacation? One where he went to Hawaii and didn't bother to take me. Two weeks, two weeks you left me.." Noah got to go to Hawaii to visit two of his old basketball teammates and elementary school friends, Matthew and Alec, who had moved out there after our eighth grade year. I stayed back home because I chose to do some volunteer work in the children's ward in our local hospital.

"Well judging from where this conversation was heading a minute ago, a little bit. And I know, I'm still sorry! But you know that this was just meant f-"

"For you and the guys, and they would have loved to see me again as well, but I had volunteer work. I'm just messing with you, it's fun to hear you ramble nervously. It's cu-" Stopping myself at my almost slip up, I cleared my throat, "anyway, what time do you get back?"

"Were you about to call me cute?" Now he's smirking, I bet.

"Not you, just the rambling. I said, what time do you get back?"
