October | Noah

The rest of September flew by and it was now a few weeks into October, the smell of fresh leaves and hot chocolate filled the air.

Today, the boys and I are heading out to the pier and checking out the fair, I even convinced Rosalie to come out with us. She needs a major distraction from the lingering rumors and points or teases coming from the last of the immature crowd at school. She needs this.

"Venti Caramel Frapp for Steve!"

"Grande White Mocha for Jane!"

Ro is lucky I adore her, I hate the morning rush of Starbucks — or any coffee shop I should say — but I knew she'd be better in the morning with it in her system. I shuffled my feet, finally at the front of the line.

I came face to face with a perky blonde sporting a high ponytail, I always wondered how girls can do that with so much hair.. "Hi! What can I get started for you?"

"Venti Oprah Chai Iced Tea, a Spinach Feta Wrap, and a tall hot cocoa please."

"Anything for you, handsome," she winked, "Name for this?"

"Jules for the hot cocoa and Princess on the other drink."

"Interesting names, might I ask why?"

"Yeah, Jules is my little sister and princess is my nickname for my girl."

Her face fell and I had to hold back a small smile, "Oh.. alright. That'll be right out."

"Thanks, have a good one." I paid and went back to the table where the boys and Jules were sitting.

"Did you get my hot chocolate, Nunu?"

I ruffled my little sister's hair and picked her up to set her on my lap, "Yes, Jules. With whip cream just like you like it."

She giggles, "Thank you brother bear."

Jules was just as Disney driven, thanks to Ro. I don't blame them though, I get to enjoy the cuteness.

"Here, you can play a game on my phone." I handed her my iPhone and she opened up her favorite princess dress up game. I don't bother hiding it on my phone because it's for my sister, people can make fun but whatever.

She was soon distracted with the game and Alec piped up, "So, cute cashier over there? Score a number?"

I leaned back on the chair, "Nope. Not my type."

"Hot and flirty isn't your type? Dude!!"

"What? I'm just not looking right now."

Matthew and Alec shared a look, both saying, "So... Rosalie."

"Shut up guys, you're still on that? I'm just saying, no thanks to a blonde. One of you guys can get her number though."

They both shared a smirk, "Hey hey, can't help but notice that you two have grown really close as 'best friends'. Wink wink!"

I shook my head and Alec spoke up again, "But actually Matthew cannot put his moves on any other girls anymore."

I looked towards Matthew, "What? Does Alec speak the truth? Someone has gotten you to commit homie?!"

That earned me a punch in the arm from him, "Whatever dude, but yes. It's actually Katie."

"No way! Katie from elementary, that Katie? I miss her! How did that even happen?"

He smiled sheepishly, "Well after Alec and I moved to Hawaii, I reconnected with Katie over Facebook. She found me and added me, then we just.. hit it off."
