Summer's Plea
Everything is black, you aren't back
You left me hanging, barely breathing
Summer is approaching still, you aren't back
If I pray to God, will you comeback?
Hope, beauty, reliance; They are gone
Trees, fishes, sun; There is none!
Hear my wish, hear my beseech
Come and let me see the beautiful world— I seek!
Until when you will hide from me?
I wanna see the world's beauty, badly!
But, what can I do? You hid me my happiness
To see the sun rises, you forbid it all: Heartless!
I wanna read books, I wanna swim
I wanna pluck flowers and trim
I wanna build a sand castle with glee
I want to draw a coconut tree though, is it really possible for me?
Dear God, my name is Summer
A child so hopeful yet frangible
Do you hear my plea?
Do you hear my call?
I just want to ask you a favor.
I want the world to savor. That
In this island, let me live like an ocean—
Giving different waves of happiness to someone
And this—
is Summer's Plea...
