They'd been wondering through the room for a while. They fought many more monsters and outsmarted lots of traps. "I think we've almost died nineteen times now." Cassie said. Aiden nodded in agreement. They turned a corner and saw the treasure chest they've been searching for. They both smiled at one another, "We did it!" They called in unison and ran towards the chest. Cassie smashed into something and fell to the ground. Aiden slowly touched the spot she smashed into, "How is this possible? This wall is invisible. There's no smears so it can't be glass." He turned to see Cassie lying on the ground, her head spun.

"Oh. Sorry. Are you alright?" He extended his hand to her. She took it and once she was back on her feet, she rubbed her head, "I've been better." She looked at the wall, "We need to figure out how to get past this thing." Aiden nodded in agreement. He thrust his sword at it, but it had no effect, "Well that didn't work. This may take some time."

They wondered around searching for a lever, button, or pretty much anything that could take it down. Cassie gasped, "Look! It only goes about ten feet in the air! Let's break these blocks and build our way over it and to the other side!"

Aiden looked up at where she was pointing and sure enough, a line went across the top of it showing that it was the end of the wall, "Great idea, Cassie!" They high-fived and began to break blocks below their feet and build it up to the top of the wall. They went over the other side and finally were standing before the chest.

Aiden slowly opened it and saw a large key inside of it. Cassie picked it up, "We actually did it!"

Suddenly, half of the floor dropped down. The half Aiden was standing on. He began to fall. His heart skipped a beat as he dropped into the depths.

Cassie quickly snatched onto his wrist. He gaped up at her.

"Hold on tight Aiden! I'm going to pull you up!" She called down

"Hold on tight Aiden! I'm going to pull you up!" She called down. Aiden was shocked at her strength as she hauled him back up to solid ground. Once he was back, they both lay on the ground side-by-side panting.

"That makes it twenty." Cassie said. Aiden turned, "Huh?"

"Almost dying twenty times now." She winked at him. He laughed as they sat up, "Oh. And thanks for that. I'd be dead right now if it wasn't for you."He pulled her into a hug. Cassie smiled, "Your welcome. Jesse was right. Saving lives and helping people brings so much more happiness than what we used to do."

Aiden nodded in agreement. They parted slowly, blushing. Aiden felt differently about this girl than he has about any other girl he's ever met before. They both had similar pasts and want the same future. To be good. To make up for what they've done. To make a difference in the world, this time for the better.

His eyes cast down to her lips and they were both thinking the same thing. They slowly leaned in towards one another.

"Congratulations!"

They both jumped and blushed harder. Someone saw what just about happened. They both tried to hide their disappointment. The 'congratulations' could've waited until after the kiss. Wait.. Who said that?

"You've completed the room of 'preparedness' and retrieved the key! Hopefully you haven't lost any lives through this... Eh, who am I kidding. I don't care!" The person laughed before continuing to speak. Cassie looked at Aiden, "It's a stupid recording."

"...Done so good! I'm surprised you actually did it, and you deserve a break. Don't worry, you can trust me. For now.. Look. Behind the chest there is a button. You need to press that and then the wall will open up. You need to unlock the door and then keep that key if you wish to continue. Once you go through the door, you will go into a box thing. This will teleport you to the main room that you arrived here in. Once you get there, you will select the next room you wish to complete. A-and once you complete all four rooms, you may use those keys for wherever in this place you wish to go. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to find the hidden portal and go back to your world..."

"They must do this with a lot of people." Aiden said. Cassie nodded in agreement, "Let's get out of this place. If I have to listen to that guy talk for much longer, I'm going to yank my hair out."

Aiden laughed, "I agree. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's annoying." He pressed the button behind the chest, and sure enough, the wall opened up to reveal a door. Cassie and Aiden approached it and glanced at each other one last time before she inserted the key and twisted it. The door began to open and she pulled the large key out before it was fully opened. There was a box inside and Aiden looked around before stepping inside, "This seems a little sketchy. How is this supposed to teleport? Does it have a giant ender-pearl or something?"

Cassie shrugged as she entered behind him, "I guess we'll just have to find out."

The doors slowly shut, and the box was lit by a dull red light. Suddenly, it jolted and they dropped to the ground. They sat up, "I'm guessing you were right about that ender-pearl." She said while rubbing her head.

The door opened, and sure enough, they were right back where they began.
