Carson desperately swam against the water to get to Delcie. He wasn't going to let her die on his watch. His ears popped as he went deeper. Once he finally reached her, he put his left arm under her armpit and grab onto her right shoulder. He immediately began to swim directly upwards. He was never trained to be a lifeguard, but he watched people train to be them, so he felt like he knew enough to at least save Delcie's life.
He was out of air and needed more soon. The water filled this room really fast! He found himself feet from the surface. Almost there.
He pushed harder and finally broke through the surface. He gasped in air and then pulled Delcie over his chest and her face above the water so she could breathe. But from the looks of it, she couldn't. Panting, he swam on his back towards the closest piece of solid ground. He took a quick glance at where the water erupted from. Luckily, the water had stopped gushing out. It had all filled up the room, but there was still the chance that it'd turn back on again.
Once he reached the ground, he quickly laid her flat there. He put his cheek next to her mouth and nose. She wasn't breathing!
He looked down at her armor and realized it'd be really hard to do CPR through it. He quickly took it off of her, and she was wearing a green spaghetti strap crop top underneath. He saw visible abs where the shirt didn't cover and he felt himself blush seeing her in this. He shook his head, Snap out of it Carson! You have to save her life here!
He immediately began to do compressions. After a while, he gave her mouth to mouth. Normally, he'd be overjoyed with putting his lips to a girls', but he was panicking, and it wasn't exactly considered kissing..
Then, he went back and repeated it again. As he was, he noticed blood dripping from her head onto the purple ground. That wasn't good. He had no bandages with him.
He leaned forward to give her mouth to mouth again and her eyes shot open. Carson jumped and she flipped to her side and coughed out water.
Carson winced. The sound wasn't pleasing. Delcie didn't look like it either. She wiped her mouth with her arm and turned to Carson, "Did you just give me mouth to mouth?"
"Yes, but I was saving your life!"
She frowned, "Great. Well, can't change it now. Thanks for saving me ba- Wait."
Carson blinked. She looked down at her shirt and up at him, shirtless, "Where is my armor and where is your hoodie? Were you about to-"
"No, no, no!" Carson held his hands up, "I may seem like that kind of guy, but I'm not. I swear. I wanted to go after you, but I didn't want to get my hoodie wet. And I couldn't do CPR through your armor... Do you believe me?"
Delcie hesitated, "Sure." She sighed, "Like I said earlier, thanks."
Carson nodded, "Anything for a beautiful lady like you."
He twisted to the side and picked his hoodie off of the ground. Luckily, it was mostly dry, "Here. To keep warm."
"I'd rather you wear it. And you do know that shirtless guys don't impress me, right?"
"What? I'm not- Well I-Ehmm." He really was trying to impress her, but she saw right through him. He changed the subject to something he found way more important, "Do you have a bandage of sorts?"
Delcie tilted her head at him, "Why would-"
"Your head is bleeding."
She furrowed her brows and touched it with her hand. Blood was on her fingertips and then she noticed that it was on the ground and her shoulder, "Hmm. Didn't notice that.."
