Part 21 (Carrigan, Cassie, and Lukas)

Carrigan

Everyone gasped and began to look around frantically.

Axel laughed, "I asked Gabriel to hold onto her. She's not free don't worry."

Gabriel waved a hand, "Look. I've got her right here. She isn't escaping on my watch." (Did I scare you for a moment there? XP)

Ellegard scoffed, "Geez, next time let us know when you pull a dumb move like that instead of giving us a heart attack."

"No kidding." Otto agreed. His heart was over his chest as if he was recovering from a near heart attack. Harper motioned, "Who knows the way out of this place? It's changed since the last time I was here."

"We do." Carrigan said. Delcie nodded, "Follow us." They began to walk. Radar came to her side at the front as they walked, "Hey!"

For a moment it looked as if Delcie was going to push him away from her sister, but she remembered what this guy did for them. Delcie suddenly felt guilt, "Hey Radar. Before I give you two some privacy, I just wanted to tell you I'm.."

A wide smile came to Carrigan's face. Delcie- the most stubborn person she knew- was going to apologize!

"Umm.." Delcie itched her neck, ".. S-sorry." She whispered, "I underestimated you, kid. Tell you what, I'll let you have one date with my sister."

"Wha-Er... I don't.. Well.." Radar blushed madly. Carson came up from behind and messed up his hair, "Oh quit lying. You suck at it. Just accept her offer. If I was offered to date either of them I'd gladly take the offer."

Delcie grabbed Carson's face with her hand and pulled him away with her so he'd shut up and leave them alone.

Radar turned to Carrigan, "Hehe.. Was it that obvious?"

Carrigan messed with her sleeve, "I didn't think it was. Was it obvious with me?"

"You like me too?" Radar's face lit up. Carrigan nodded shyly, "To be honest, I haven't really been in a relationship before, but I've never really wanted to."

Radar's heart sank and he nodded. Carrigan looked back up at him, "Until I met you. I could tell that you were different than the other guys I've met before. You love your friends, you're a leader, smart, and modest. Those are the four main things I look for in my dream guy, but I never thought I'd ever meet him."

Radar blushed again along with Carrigan. He grabbed her hand and a little gasp escaped her mouth, "I was the same way. I wanted a girl who loves me for who I am, clever, able to take risks, and beautiful enough to take my breath away."

They smiled at one another and Carrigan kissed his cheek, "I'll accept that date!"

Cassie

Cassie still felt a little awkward from earlier. When she and Aiden almost kissed. Did he really like her? Or was he not thinking straight. Who could love a murderer?

"Cassie?"

She jumped and looked up to see the last person she expected. Aiden. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Um, yeah."

"It doesn't look like it." He said right as a tear escaped her eye. He reached up and wiped the tear away. Cassie turned her head away, "Sorry. I'm just.. thinking."

"About what happened before you turned good? You can't take it out on yourself like that. Look around. Me, you, and Romeo all did horrible things, but here we are, saving lives! Reversing what we did!"

"But you didn't murder anyone! No matter how much I reverse, I can't bring them back!" She yelled. She covered her mouth and began to sob, "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you."

Aiden put a hand on her shoulder as they continued to walk, "Maybe we could figure out how to do that respawn thing that Mevia and Hadrian did." He motioned behind them at Mevia who looked extremely grumpy as Gabriel held onto her and Soren held the other side. Ellegard was beside them and the Old Order members laughed and talked.

"You really think so?"

Aiden nodded, "You can't blame yourself for that, okay? You were just like me and Romeo. We were powerhungry, we wanted something and we lost control of ourselves to get it. Believe it or not, Lukas used to be my best friend and leader. I was a jerk to everyone I met. We were the 'cool kids'." Aiden laughed, "Especially to Jesse, Olivia, Axel," He looked down, "And Rueben. But, after everything, I was forgiven. You were too. We could have stayed evil, but we changed. Together."

"We sure screwed up at first, didn't we?" Cassie laughed as she wiped her tears, "Thanks for that. You're the only person that I feel like we can relate to one another."

Aiden smirked, "I feel like we feel that way for a reason, some sort of..." His finger traced her cheek, "Connection."

They both stopped and faced one another. Cassie gaped, "Are you saying that-"

Aiden pressed his lips to hers and her question was answered, and they melted into the kiss.

"Goodness!" They jumped and split apart. Ellegard, Mevia, Gabriel, and Soren passed by. Soren gaped, "It seems like this trip is just one big love coaster!"

Aiden rolled his eyes, "Who cares what they think." He extended his hand to her, "Shall we continue, my partner in crime?"

Cassie laughed and bowed, "We shall." And they laughed.

Lukas

Lukas insisted on carrying Jesse bridal style. He didn't want her to walk and bleed out with the risk of dying.

"I'm not going to die!" Jesse crossed her arms, "They patched up the wound and gave me a healing potion. I'll be fine."

"I'm not taking any risks, so just get comfortable," He smirked, "What kind of knight in shining armor doesn't carry his princess bridal style into the sunset?"

Jesse rolled her eyes, "You're just as big of a dork as my brother."

Lukas laughed, "I've been taking lessons from the king." He went silent for a moment and his face went to something more serious.

"What's wrong?" Jesse asked, "Wait. Is it that shirt of yours I ruined? I'll get you a new one! But personally I think you look hotter with the leather jacket and no shirt under it-"

"It's not that." Lukas laughed for a moment, "I've got tons of those at home, don't worry about it. And thank you." He sighed, "I've just been thinking.. You know Carson?"

"Hmm.. you mean the same Carson who was madly in love with me to the point of kidnapping me? Yeah." She said sarcastically. He nodded, "He saved me earlier. You know when we fell into those holes?"

Jesse nodded and he continued, "He saw me fall and went down to help me get out. We patched up the wounds of our past and he wanted me to tell you sorry as well."

Jesse tilted her head, "Some people really can change, can't they?"

He nodded, "And I think it's mostly because of you. No matter what they horrible things you did, you forgave them. And here they are, redeeming themselves. They're new people Jesse! All because you forgave them."

Jesse smiled, "I wasn't kidding earlier. When I said I live by my motto: 'Weak people revenge. Strong people forgive. Intelligent people ignore.' I made my decision a long time ago, I'd much rather forgive and ignore than revenge."

Lukas shook his head, "I still wonder how I ended up with such a wise, perfect, beautiful, stro-"

"I get the point." Jesse put a finger over his lips, "But I think that you're just as good, if not better than I am, so don't ever underestimate how much I love and appreciate you. You did the same thing with Carson in that cave didn't you? Forgive?"

Lukas shrugged, "I just did what I knew was right."
