Part 6

"I gotta go see her," Jughead says slightly worried, "why didn't she tell me?"

"This is probably why. She's fine at the moment and didn't want you to worry about her."

Jughead, who had obviously had enough of his daily dose of Veronica, rolls his eyes.

"I'm gonna go see her, you should keep an eye out for the other file that has the death information."

"Actually, jughead, can you drop me at pop's?"

"...we just ate."

"No, no it's not that. I want to see how the speakeasy is coming along."

"Okay then let's go."

For what felt like the 100th time Veronica hopped on the back of Jughead's bike and slipped on his helmet.

At Pop's...
After saying bye to jughead, Veronica looks for FP inside Pop's.

"Hey Pop Tate, where is FP?"

"He is downstairs Miss Lodge."

"Downstairs? They've already created stairs?"
Veronica goes in the direction Pop pointed and goes down a flight of stairs.

"FP, hey," Veronica says once she spots him.

"Hey Ronnie, it's been a while, were you visiting Archie?"

"No actually I was with Jughead."

"Jughead?"

"Oh it's school stuff, we got paired up."

"Uh huh, so what do you think so far."

"I don't know, Mr.Jones, you're the boss," Veronica says smiling.

"How about I give you a small tour?"

"Okay sure."

Although there was not much to see yet, FP had managed things smoothly and things were coming along nicely.

At the Cooper's ...
"Your mom did what," Jughead said amused.

"It was like she was telling a story. Everyone was so engaged."

"Where is she now?"

"She's gonna be with Polly today. Something about helping her, I don't know, so you tell me, anything on Archie's case?"

"I can tell you that I cannot stand working with Veronica."

"Jughead, seriously anything?"

"Well the bullet was a dead end, a 10mm, one of the most common bullets. We are still looking for the file, but we may have another lead."

"Anything I can help with?"

"Actually you can come with us tomorrow?"

"With us?"

"Yeah Veronica and I."

Betty laughed, "Yeah I know who us is, I'm just shocked that she's growing on you."

"Oh she's not, but it's for Archie, right?"

Betty just nodded, "yeah I'll go."

Next day...
B:Ronnie I'm here open the door

Veronica glanced at her phone and quickly opened the door for Betty.

"Where is Jughead?" Veronica asked.

"He should be on his way, my mom brought me, she cannot leave me alone ever since the black hood thing."

"It makes sense."

At that moment Jughead invited himself in.

"Hey," he said after pecking Betty on the cheek, "Let's go, shall we?"

"Of course but we have to walk a little to reach Smithers, daddy has people keeping an eye on the house, I told him these were homework meetings."

The trio walked around the corner at the end of Ronnie's street and saw Smithers' car. They all piled in one by one. First Veronica, then Jughead and then Betty. In a couple, uncomfortable hours they made it to the lodge.

"Wait Smithers, you can't go too close. He has cameras. Take us to the nearest hotel and then you can leave," Veronica warned.

Smithers drove them to a hotel not too far from the Lodge Lodge. They walked in and instantly noticed that it was a luxury hotel.
