Once they reached the road around the corner of V's house, Jughead and Betty hopped on Jughead's bike and rode away. Veronica entered her house and stopped in her tracks once she noticed what was in front of her.

"Daddy...when did you get back?" Veronica asked trying to seem innocent.

"Just now, where are you coming from?"

"B's house, you're back early."

"Yeah, the job ended earlier than expected."

Veronica nodded and walked up to her room and created a group chat with Betty and Jughead.

V:My parents are back early. We need to change our meeting spot.

J:Pop's?

V:yeah that's perf

B: count me out, something came up.

At the Coopers...
"Betty where have you been. There's a killer out there and you show up 2 days later expecting me to be fine?!"

"Mom, we stayed another night but it wasn't planned."

"I needed you here... I went to the farm again today and something happened."

"What happened?"

"Polly was acting a little strange and begged me to stay there saying she wants me to meet her friend and that he'd be right there."

"Okay...so?"

"She became persistent. Betty, I think your sister has changed."

"Mom,stop. You overthink EVERYTHING now. She's fine and your fine. Just meet her friend and you'll be done."

"Fine but you're coming with me."

"I have plans with Jughead and Veronica."

"Cancel them."

Betty went up to her room, replied to her messages and went straight to bed. Before falling asleep, she looked over at the window wondering when the bed opposite her would again be occupied.

Next morning...
Jughead was already in a booth in Pop's when Veronica walked in. The environment was awkward ever since their little heart to heart. Jughead noticed something different about her but for some reason he couldn't tell what.

"You're staring, Jones," she says slipping in the seat across from him.

"You look different," he replied.

"Good different or bad different."

"It's not bad."

"Maybe you're seeing me in a different light since our one on one therapy session," she joked.

"No seriously."

"Well for starters my hair is in a bun and I'm wearing jeans."

Jughead took notice of her low bun with a few strands framing her face. It was in fact different from her signature waves. She was also dressed very casual which was also an odd sight.

"I'm gonna go say hi to FP, is he here?"

"Yeah, he kinda has to be here."

Veronica rolled her eyes and walked away from the booth.

"Hey FP!"

"Ronnie! Hey."

"How's everything going?"

"Well your father stopped by... he tried to get me to quit, offered big bucks. If the situation had been different, I would've taken it."

"Oh my god. He is unbelievable."

"Don't worry kid. My moneys on you," FP said to V.

Over the last couple weeks, FP and Veronica grew close and FP treated her as if she was his own daughter.

"Thanks, FP," Veronica said getting up to hug him.

Once they pulled away, FP asked Veronica about school, Archie and anything else he could remember. After the conversation was over, Veronica skipped back up the stairs. In the booth, where she was just sitting, Toni and Cheryl sat laughing. Jughead looked amused as well. Once she reached the table, she slid in next to Jughead.

"Hey V," Cheryl said.

"Hey Cheryl, what are you guys doing here?"

"We were going to buy food but Toni over here wanted to catch up with Jughead," she replied, "how about you 2?"

"Oh we were just visiting FP, we are leaving now, enjoy!" Veronica says pulling Jughead out of the booth.

"Veronica, what's up with you," Jughead asked once they reached outside.

"They can't know. Not yet. I don't want the whole town talking about me taking my own dad down."

"Yeah okay understandable, but where are we going?"

"I say we visit Archie?"
