Pt.9
"Wait...what's that?" Jughead asks pointing behind Veronica.

She turns and sees a box, "I don't know..."

She opens the box up and sees a jar of red liquid and hundreds of blue and gold newspapers.

"These are the newspapers that you published B, on the serpents..." V says.

"You're Dad did it?"

"Betty..."
(A/N this is referring to the Serpent Slut thing)

"I cried for hours, Jug let's go," Betty said.

"No," Jughead said.

"What?" She replied.

"No Betty. We are looking for something. To save Archie. You should go back to the hotel if you feel uncomfortable."

"But Jughead, Veronica-"

Jughead interrupts her, "Veronica didn't do anything. Look Betty, we didn't even know who did it till now. After Archie's out, we don't have to even talk to her but for now let's find what they have hidden here."

"Betty, you can't blame me for every little thing he does..."

"I-I gotta clear my mind," Betty says climbing the stairs and leaving.

Jughead and Veronica continued to search for god knows what. After a couple minutes, Veronica speaks again.

"Jughead?"

"Hm."

"Thank you."

"I didn't do it for you. I did it for Archie."

"Still thank you..."

"Yeah, you're welcome."

After a couple hours....
"I'm convinced there is nothing here," Jughead said.

"There has to be, we haven't checked that cabinet, it's our last hope."

Jughead opens the cabinet and instantly he knew they found what they were looking for.

"Veronica, is this the file you were talking about?" He asks her.

She opens it and flips pages.

"This is it, all these people are dead, but wait..."

"What now?"

"There's no way we can prove it's my dads. It doesn't have his name anywhere and it also doesn't have the way their death occurred, just names and information on the victims."

Jughead, sick of all the dead ends, kicks the cabinet and something else falls out.

"Is that a flash drive?"

"Maybe it wasn't the file they hid here..."

They grab the USB and run back to the hotel. Betty is fast asleep in the same spot as yesterday. The plug it into Betty's laptop and....
