My thoughts are in haze. Mostly because of the medical terms that I have heard for the past hours of sticking my butt inside this goddamn hospital. But what concerns me the most is Monique's whereabouts.

Bingo! It seems weird to see something like it out of nowhere but it's a blessing in disguise.

With every step that I take towards her gives me a clearer vision of her state - gone are those intimidating looks and professional poise. All I can see right now is a normal woman whose exhaustion is very evident in my eyes. I took the space beside her and let my presence be noticed. It is clear that something is bothering her. Her eyes says it all.

"I didn't know pwede dito yan." Another evidence that something's up with her. She seldomly does that - when stress has taken its toll on her, as what I have observed from her.

Tahimik lang siya sa tabi ko. I watch her as she breathes in slowly, taking a mouthful of the smoke, and exhaling it slowly afterwards.

"Bakit andito ka pa? I didn't know you're an immediate family of the Andradas." sambit niya.

"I was waiting for the moment to get to talk to you. You know...with all the chaos earlier, it's pretty hard to." I replied. I leaned towards the railing, taking the view all in from above. "I was planning to check on you and get you something to eat. That's when I bumped into Max at a nearby cafe. Then I followed him here after hearing what happened."

"Tita...Marga...what happened?"

"He was doing well when I left. Anong nangyari?"

"That's what we all thought too. We were able to talk to him nung nagising siya but all of a sudden he had trouble speaking and his face begun to contort."

"How is he, Doc?" Tanong ni Mrs. Andrada.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Andrada...but the patient fell into coma. We have to run some tests to precisely know the cause of his stroke and its severity. I'm afraid to tell but in his case, it's a massive one." Paliwanag ng isang pamilyar na boses.
