Chapter 27

"We have to get him to the hospital!" I yelled.

"If we take him to the hospital someone's gonna smother him with a pillow or something. Know why? He's Jeff the freaking Killer!" BEN retorted loudly.

"Then what do we do?" I asked, worried.

"There's nothing we can--are you on your period or something?" he asked looking down at my shorts.

"What?! This isn't a time to ask a stupid question like tha-" I cut myself off and looked down and realized my shorts were dripping tons of blood.

"Oh my God! Not again!" I yelled.

"You have to go to the hospital now!" he said, wide eyed.

"No, what about Jeff?!"

BEN pulled out his phone and texted someone. It only took a few seconds to type for him because his typing skills must be 500 words per minute!

"It's taken care of, Jeff'll be fine, now let's go!" he yelled, grabbing my hand and starting to run at his normal fast pace.

"Slow down, I have a giant gash in my side!" I panted.

He stopped and sighed, "I have to stop leaving you alone." he picked me up bridal style, and began running again. This time, he ran faster.

"I feel like, this has happened before...I'm starting to get dizzy again. I think I'm losing...too much...blood." I mumbled before passing out.

Beep-beep-beep-beep

That's all I heard. The beeping sounds of the heart monitor thumping in my ears. A sound that I was quite familiar with.

I opened my eyes and discovered the doctor standing beside my bed. He was pretty startled. I was pretty sure it was because BEN was sitting in the room. The appearance of BEN tends to freak some people out.

"Well, your baby seems to be doing fine, Natalia." he said with a half hearted smile.

"Wait, what?" BEN blurted out.

The doctor jumped when he spoke. "Uh, the baby. It's almost been 4 months and she's very healthy." he stuttered.

"That's impossible!" He yelled angrily.

I couldn't believe it. "Earlier today, another doctor told us our baby was a boy that died." I added.

I didn't know why BEN was so angry. I mean, I know he wasn't happy about the idea, but at least give some fake enthusiasm.

"That's impossible. There's absolutely nothing wrong with her." he said.

"She? It's a girl?" I asked.

"Yep." the doctor replied with a snow white smile.

"Doctor, the man in room 12 is having a heart attack." the nurse butted in, running into the room.

"Sorry, if you'll excuse me." he apologized, walking out with the nurse.

I gave BEN a big grin,"We don't have to call her herm anymore." I laughed happily.

BEN sighed as he sat down in the chair next to the bed.

"Look, I know you're not too thrilled about the idea of having a kid, but look on the bright side."

"What bright side?" he asked leaning his head on his hand.

"Uh..." I thought for a moment.

"There is no bright side. You're 18, you shouldn't be having a baby at this age. What'll your family say?"

My family really hasn't been in my life for a long time now, I doubt they'll notice." I chuckled.

"What about your life? It won't be normal after you have a kid."

"I think I stopped being normal after you saved me." I growled, my irritation level starting to grow.

"Haiiii!" a familiar and flamboyant voice greeted.

I looked over to see Chris standing in the doorway.

"Chris, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"The hospital called and said I should visit." he explained.

"Why didn't they call you any other time before?" BEN asked.

"Oh, they did, but this time the guy on the phone sounded hot and I thought I could find him...I couldn't find him." he said with a little despair in his tone.

"Wow. You're so supportive." I said sarcastically.

"I know right." he agreed, disregarding my sarcasm and sitting 2 chairs away from BEN.

"Everything's fine, so you can leave, Chris." BEN said, annoyed.

"I'm gonna go try to find him again." he smiled, almost skipping out of the room.

"That kid is weird." BEN glared at the door he left from, "As I was saying, why do you even want a kid? You were horrified about the idea before,"

"I don't know," I paused for a moment, I think I've just gotten attached to her." I reply.

He was about to say something, but there was a sudden vibration that came from his long, green hat. He removed his hat and took his phone out.

He observed the screen. He squinted at the words for a while, then his jaw flew down.

"I-I'll be right back," he said monotonously.
