Chapter 7 - one little attraction/ the angels choice

Sonic felt very very upset than before because his brother couldn't leave him alone. On this particularly good day... Sonic was trimming the bushes in the garden unaware that Knuckles was looking at him and thought, if I'm gonna show up with him it's gonna be...*sighs* well...I maybe into boys as well but...Sonic needs to move on....plus...I've been noticing him the last 4 months...well here goes nothing... he walked toward him slowly without Sonic knowing... but when he wrapped an arm around the waist Sonic turned and shouted as he pushes him away, I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO....*trails off as he sees Knuckles who was shocked...Sonic calmly turned back and starts trimming again.* oh...my apologies sir...I thought you were my stupid brother that won't stop coming here to bother me... Knuckles said as he raised a brow, uhhh.....yeah look....I want to have a word with you if you don't mind... Sonic turns and said, yeah what...I mean...what do you wanna talk about sir? Knuckles said, you don't haft to talk like a servant Sonic. The blue hedgehog said, I know but...I haft to with the other servants. Knuckles said, but your my lo....my best friend...I think it's best if you start going back to you normal self... Sonic said, I still can't Knuckles....I wanna believe that...but I feel so alone... Knuckles sighs and takes his hand as they walked back inside. When they reached the master bedroom they sat down next to each other. Knuckles said, listen...I know this is rather sudden but...I sorta need to you to come to the formal party with me... Sonic was shocked and said, wh..what?...no...I..I can't sir...with all due respect...servants aren't supposed to... Knuckles cuts him off as Sonic felt a chill up his spine... Knuckles said in concern, look this has gone on long enough Sonic I know this is sudden and you don't wanna show your face around and all but...I just wanted you to umm...*whispers to him* Sonic said in shock, a..are you serious?...but there's no way this would work...I...I'm a boy...actually we both are but...sir...I... Knuckles thought, man...Sonics really determined when he doesn't move on...but it's the only way...I know he's kinda not into me...but I haft to make things right. Sonic was clutching his maid dress as he shook like a leaf. that's when they heard Rouge come up the stairs yelling, HEY KNUCKLES YOU DONE CRYING OVER ME LEAVING YOU ALREADY?!...THE PARTYS TONIGHT!! Knuckles said, oh shoot...*thats when he quickly grabs Sonic and quickly said* probably be best never to ask about this. Sonic said annoyed, ask about wh...*quickly got cut off when Knuckles kissed him...paralyzed by what he did* Rouge opened the door to see the two kissed and said, what the?...you moved on already?....can we talk? Knuckles said, yeah whatever...*lets go of Sonic* I'll be right back Sonic... he stood up and walked out to speak with Rouge... Sonic said to himself as Knuckles closed the door, uhhhh....*blinks a few times in confusion* what...just happened?....*He placed the pieces*...okay...he just kissed me...can I really think of him that way?...no...there's no way... that's when his angel subconscious and demon subconscious shows up:

Devil: oh come oh...just say no to the guy...he only did that to get you to move on...you buried your friend for crying out loud.

Angel: don't listen to him...he did it to help you...

Devil; like hell he did...he made fun of you along with the others...besides your friend is dead...and they just don't care.

Angel: they went through all the trouble to help you...they really feel bad for what you gone through...besides you should feel bad that you lashed out and turn your friends and family away...

Devil: they deserve it...they left ya...Tails was your only friend and...

Angel: shut up already will ya devil?...*calmly breaths*...listen to me...it's been four months now...you need to move on...I seen the way he looks at you...not just in guilt but....outta love...it's really obvious by now...you've been in love with him before he married Rouge...am I correct?...

Devil: so what?...that broke your heart more...

Angel: *uses his harp to knock the devil out successfully* look...I know your still feeling down and there's no way to turn back to your old self...but sometimes people change...you can be happy but still the same as you are now...but this is your chance to move on with your life and start over...you maybe not childish or cool as you once were...but you can be gentle, timid, and compassionate as you are right now...he wants to help you...and he wants you to be with him....I know it...although you are a boy...he wants you to be more than that...I know he loves you...and you still have feelings for him deep inside your heart....so what's it gonna be?....be happy with him or forever be alone...the choice is yours.

Sonic couldn't decide anymore but he know his good subconscious is right...he hesitated for a moment before saying, okay...I will... his good subconscious said happily, that's the spirit...good luck... he decided to go with the angel decision and took a deep breath. Sonic thought, it's true...I am timid, gentle and compassionate now but...I just don't know if I can... his thoughts were cut off as he sees Knuckles walks in with an upset but worried look on his face...he sees Sonic blushed as the blue hedgehogs heart pounded like a drum... Sonic thought, come on heart...please stop...stop heart... Knuckles said in a worried tone as he sat next to him, are you feeling okay? Sonic nodded and said timidly and blushed as he looked away, y..yes sir...*thinks: oh no now I am sounding timid* Knuckles said as he sighed, they moved the formal party to next Monday...kinda crazy...but I kinda slipped... Sonic said nervously, wh..what?...wh..why did y...you s..say that? Knuckles said in embarrassed, cause I....I told Rouge we were...we were planning on getting married... Sonics face went pure red as he felt shocked and sweating as he said nervously, y..y..you don't s..s..say.... Knuckles thought, I wonder when Sonic began to get nervous?...oh well...might as well tell him the rest... Sonic asked nervously, wh..what else d..did y..you tell h..her? Knuckles said in embarrassment, well...I...told her I knew I she was planing to leave me so I...I told her that I was secretly dating you while you were pretending to be just a plain hired maid...when we were really secretly seeing each other... Sonic felt his heart beating fast than before as he can feel his feelings for him grow bigger...too much to hide from his secret love life... but as he looked at him slowly turning to him shaking nervously...one look at the red echidna made Sonic faint. Knuckles yelled as he catches him, SONIC!! Knuckles said to himself, okay....maybe he's a little too nervous. He carried him to his room and laid him there. He gave Sonic a kiss on the lips before leaving.
