This is a phrase used to refer to a person that a man or a woman is meant to be with.
In most cases, when we talk about 'The One', we involve a lot of faith.
This is because there is a person you do not know, you don't know where they could be, or what they look like but with the help of the powers I earlier mentioned, they are meant to be with you.
The One is that person that you are bound to meet. Even if you are two people of different backgrounds, from different countries and speak different languages, you will always bond perfectly with The One for you.
Usually people say that, the person you marry, is 'The One'.
Let's take a situation of a couple that is head over heels in love. Many times when couples experience the spark in a relationship, they could think that their partner is the one meant for them.
So how about when they bitterly break up, never to speak again!
Does love between a couple sustain that their partners are the one?
In my opinion, I don't think that when you are in love with someone, then he/she is the one for you. Though, there are times when the spark is at its peak and you are induced to believe that the person you are seeing is the one.
I think it takes more than love. This is obviously because before you fall in love, you are total strangers at first.
This is where the hard work comes in. If you are going to make it work with a stranger( who turns out to be the person you love) you will have to endure a lot.
You have to learn to tolerate him/her with all their flaws. You have to be patient and understanding. You have to be honest and trustworthy.
Well, there is a condition here, what you expect from your partner should be exactly what you give.
In other words, do unto others what you wish to be done unto you.
There will be times when you want to give up, when you cannot take it anymore, but to love, is to stay even when you want to leave, to hold on when you want to let go, to say sorry even when you're right.
The person, known as the one, by default is supposed to tolerate you in all ways, he/she is supposed to be your perfect match. But then, we all know that people have different characters, so if it's going to work out, your effort as a partner also matters a lot.
