A Single Tear

A lonely pair,

Here they stand,

A lonely pair,

Hand in Hand.

A single heart,

Beating fast,

Just two hearts,

Lost in the past.

Where did the love go,

That's what they say,

It's what we wish to know,

As the love sinks away.

Hate spreads across a faceless crowd,

A crow beckons them to run,

Because this silence has become to loud,

And they hear a cocking of the gun.

Difference is a sin,

At least that's what I was told,

Isn't it just a lovely world we live in,

For in the corner has grown the mold.

The couple; as they fear,

Will get to shed one final tear.
