I sit in a Gloria Jeans,
Just sitting patiently,
Waiting.
I listen as I see the couples walk beside my table,
They talk of love and clothes and jobs,
But I sit still,
Watching the steam rise from my cup,
I look like a typical writer.
Sweater with longer leaves than my arms,
Covering my hands,
Ripped jeans,
Messy hair,
Just sitting here,
Looking normal.
Feeling alone without you,
Then as I look up,
I see a bright smile,
Beautiful eyes looking at mine,
And a sweet voice telling me:
Hey.
It's the feeling you give me when you're just standing near me,
The ability to make me forget everyone,
And everything else,
Just by being there.
You sit across from me,
I put my hands around the coffee cup,
You put your hands over mine,
And we both laughed.
You give me a feeling I've felt,
But it's never been true.
That was,
Until the one person that could make me wish for marriage,
Walked into my life,
And that person,
Was you.
All your flaws give me excuses,
Tremors,
Holding your hand,
Cheesiness,
Heart skip a beat,
Gifs,
Smile without letting you know you made my life brighter.
At the Gloria Jeans,
You hugged me and told me
I love you,
And this time,
I told you,
I love you too.
For you,
I'm willing to fall,
Because I trust you'll catch me when I do.
