Bliss!
Trapped in endless queues behind the wheels
With rain pouring down relentlessly
I had nothing to do but look on
And,
In the loud roaring of thunder,
In the fatal flashes of lightening,
In the violent brewing storm,
I could see the wrath of nature
In the unwanted traffic jams,
In the ugly sewer blockages,
In the agony of the homeless,
I see the brewing of scams.
But then the rain receded
Now only light showers trickled
I've reached home, the sun's peeked out
And,
In the rhythm of the ripples,
In the breeze that slyly tickles,
In the greenery by the road,
I see the astounding life that glows.
In unplanned family get-togethers,
In sailing little paper boats,
In wielding cartoon umbrellas,
I see the joy of having chai with pakodas.
And so,
Gazing in bliss at the lovely weather
I choose to ignore the earlier troubles
And thank God for the refreshing showers!
