                          The First day

“Can you guys catch a break!” Alice finally said, through clenched teeth.

I and stiles were busy in our quotidian practice in our lounge. “I feel sorry for you Alice” Stiles said, as he tossed the ball towards me.

“Excuse me! But why?” she asked incredulously putting down her glass of juice.

“How can someone hate football!” Stiles replied.

“Exactly” I also joined in and came to sit with her on the dining table. She rolled up her sleeves which declared that she was ready for it.

“The same way you guys hate Twilight movies” She countered.

“Ugh” Stiles imitated of throwing up. “C’mon Alice! Give a logical reason” I said smiling.

“There are seriously countless reasons, you two just don’t seem to grasp it.”

"You say this every time but don't give us a single one" I said.

"Because there's no point in arguing with you guys, you are so stubborn."

"We are stubborn only when we are right" Stiles said, got up and threw the ball in the lawn. She also got up to leave the kitchen but before she could leave, we both yelled “Twilight Sucks” followed with our laughing.

The three of us were living in our family house which was left to us in inheritance. We were the rightful ones of this house because we were the last living members of the Hale family so it came to us. To be honest, It was a humongous house as it was built for three families, not for three High School students. We had been living in this house since I opened my eyes. When my parents and other families went to meet their maker six years ago, we three were the only Hale members left to entertain this whole house. But it had been six years now and we had got accostumed to it now. We were about to start Harmon State College now. My parents, along with AIice's and Stiles's, had left us enough money that we could just sit and enjoy for the rest of our lives, besides we had given our grandfather’s land on rent and that rent itself was enough for the three of them. So, thankfully, we never faced financial crises. We had everything anyone would want but not everyone knew that we were deprived from the biggest gift of life six years ago, our Parents! and I have been regretting it since that horrible night that was still imprinted on my mind like it had happened only yesterday.

“You don’t have to be afraid. Okay” Stiles was continuously muttering to Alice in the car, as I drove to the college for our first day.

“If anyone gets out of line. Tell us” Stiles continued, he was desperately trying to unnerve Alice. He never missed a chance to start a fight between them.

“Shut up. Don’t scare her” I said smiling, as I pulled into the College’s parking lot.

“And no use of this” I said firmly, grasping her hand in which she wore a pink bracelet. She just nodded and the three of us got out of my car and went inside the college building to cherish our first day of college.

“What’s your first class?” Stiles asked as the we were handed their daily schedule.

“Chemistry” Alice and I replied at the same time.

Stiles nodded. “What about their free period at 11?” I asked, folding his schedule and putting it in my pocket. That was the only relaxing time during the college time.
